What program are you guys using to get the DB readings? I just tried iStumbler but it doesn't seem to show it.

According to iStumbler, my Airport Extreme N router, which is only 15 feet away, only has a signal strength of 45%. That's pretty crappy. It says it is on channel zero, which I didn't think was possible. For frequency, it says -1.

Nevermind, I found the info in iStumber.

Still, for being 15 feet away, the signal stats suck. 45% signal strength, -96 noise, signal -58.

damn i havent checked this one in a while, ^^ that guy was touchy, probably a chic, haha, take it easy ! its only the internet !

yes i am not stupid. have you ever checked the actual speed that the airport runs at???

Regardless of its actual operating speed, you said that 54Mb p/s is equal to 3.5MB p/s which isn't true.

That was my point :p

ok ok you got me there. my calculation was incorrect. sorry.

but users please note. speeds are not going to be near 6.5mbps, unfortunately there is interfearence and all that other stuff to take into account.
