I used an Apple ID that was banned from buying anything from the store years ago. It worked and is installing. Later, I'll change the password.

I just bought an iPT 6th gen.. can't wait to JB it!! Going to wait till it's ready and stable though.

well the asking for apple id thing 'seems' legit... it installed its ios installer under a certificate belonging to the apple ID I typed in the app. doing the JB now.

none the less I used a burner ID i just created... guess I am suspicious by nature :)

The software actual recommend you to create a new Apple ID for making the profile. That's in Chinese. PP helper never ask the user to enter their own Apple ID during the jailbreak process.

The whole PC only thing is quite annoying at the moment. Hopefully the non-reboot required version will include a Mac compatible version.

Yep I'm waiting this one out

My main reason is I have a 9.0.2 j/b that works great so I will wait to see in a week or so if it is improved to a fully untethered solution

This is the least excited I've ever seen the forum right after a JB release.

There's usually lots of threads and discussion.

I'm a little wary of the feathered bit so will wait it out a few days and see what happens and if they manage to make it completely unteathered.

I think I will pass until Pangu release an untethered version and for a Mac installer. However, I think I will leave my iPhone 6S Plus on iOS 9.3.3 because I fear I can smell Apple coming out with another update asap to destroy the new Jailbreak that we have been waiting 9 months for.

LOL at the whole Apple ID thing.

No disrespect meant and I realize that this is a serious issue (I would hesitate to give my details as well) but the reason I laugh is because it brings up memories of one user here who absolutely refused to give Pangu access to his camera during the 9.0.2 jailbreak.

He railed left and right about privacy violations - but he still wanted a jailbreak. The Pangu app at the time leveraged access to Photos as a way to elevate permissions in order to jailbreak. This seems to be the same concept here except that it's using a developer profile to elevate permissions - hence the Apple ID.

It's different, but the same and it just strikes me as funny.

Succeeded, have to try 4 times to successfully download the apps and profile to the iPhone (due to server busy).

But once downloaded, the jailbreak is so easy and finished in about 1 min.

No lag, no shuttering, no crash.

Cydia normal.

Safari, Appstore, mail, phone, photos, etc. all normal.

Update 1:
Forget to mention that I jailbreak via Parallel (Windows 10). So it works.

I hear what your saying and the obvious workaround is to make a new Apple ID that you can burn.

It's reasonable for one's suspicions to be raised when information like this is requested.

Privacy and hacking concerns in this day and age.

Maybe a stupid question, but does Apple Pay still work when jailbroken?
Speaking only from a jailbroken perspective of 9.0.2 - yes. Apple Pay works while jailbroken.

Cannot confirm that for 9.3.2 or 9.3.3 however as that is not the firmware my iPhone 6s+ is using.

I got it installed. I created a dummy Apple ID because I didn't want to use my own. It took around 5 minutes after that to install Cydia. Working great on my device.

Yeah that's what I did too. No need to use your real Apple ID.

jailbreak seems to work quite well... i might be able to finally put the SE i bought last month to work :)

activator settings is crashing, so ill try a restore of my 5S over it so see if the settings stick, but it will probably fsck up evertyhing hahaha... that thing is something that dates back to ios 4.x
