My win10 vm runs slow as heck but yes give it time.

Even tho pro's are at a standstill so pumped to be rid of 9.0.2.

Trying out 10 on 6s+ and thinking over all the options.

Love my SE tweaked out. Man oh man what a great device

Easy jb to get up and running - updated from my 9.0.2 jailbreak

I found I was only using 5 tweaks out of my 30 tweaks installed so thats what I installed

One real benefit of the later JB is that the tif exploit in iMessage is patched.

Would like to know if it is as stable as 9.0.2 JB too, but we may not have the luxury of waiting that long.

Relax...don't think he was bitching. I hope.

Was the earlier JB available for Macs later on? My recollection was that when it first came out, it was Windows only...like this one.

It has always been that way takes just a few for it to come that is why i said no need to post that this sucks when it always comes this way :)

Just jailbroke 6s Plus on 9.3.3 :) feels good to be off of 9.0.2

Now just have the iPad Pros, waiting for an update from Pangu on that,

you got the link you used to download the JB?

Jailbreak executable tool for windows - http://jailbreak.25pp.com/ppjailbreak/?from=25pp_00119

http://www.idownloadblog.com/2016/07/24/how-to-jailbreak-ios-9-3-3-pangu/

^ This guide is excellent, only thing it doesn't do that I did is uncheck the box for PP app in small print beneath the circle (not jailbreak injecting PP/Pangu icon, but PP app itself-- have no use for that) in the iPhone app that the exe on windows side loads itself, right before step 21:
21) Next, tap on the circle in the app, and then it will turn into a line of text.

I love using Chinese language installers out of impatience. This isnt the first time I did it.

Waiting for Mac installer would be an eternity !

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE :D

Incidentally, what the right way to remove the 9.0.2 JB and updating to 9.3.3

Is it:

Choosing restore in iTunes
Which then runs the backup
After updating, the backup is then restored

Reason why I'm asking is iTunes shows 9.1 update right now and not 9.3.3
But will it download 9.3.3 since 9.1 is no longer signed?

Grab ipsw from ipsw.me ,

Hold home+power button, then when screen shuts off continue holding home button for a bit, plug into iTunes, ctrl or some key you hold when hitting restore button -> find ipsw -> let it do the magic

Clean restore, dont de-JB and OTA, not worth the risks/ error. You lose all data with de-JB anyways

Hmm. Currently on 9.0.2 JB. Not sure I wanna jump in just yet. I've heard to install the latest JB, you have to enter in your iTunes username and password. Is that true?

No. It's not true.

What IS true is that you need to create a 'burner' Apple ID and use the email and password for that. The burner Apple ID won't be anything you care about if it gets burned.

But I can do backup first, right? And then restore said backup after the ipsw image is done, right?

Yeah, you can

I like to do clean restores every time without restore from backup, for peace of mind and to trash old baggage data, its like a move!

For me its just a matter of re downloading apps,

All my photos are in iCloud/sync'd,

Aren't these instructions wrong since now you have to put your password in if you try to create burner using your phone?

I created burner id the old-fashioned way.

I'm cheap...just have the free iCloud 5gb limit.

I backup up to my PC. Only thing on the iCloud backup is my notes, contacts, and Safari bookmarks.

So... Should we wait for the English version or do it with the Chinese way?

It won't make any difference from my perspective,

Updates will be able to be done from cydia most likely.

It's just a matter of knowing what to click, whether you can wade through it and/or are brave enough

In that case, make sure you manually pull media too, so you have the files you care about, in case the iTunes backup somehow doesn't work, etc.

That's what I'd do at least
