probably not. if you use activator, make sure to 'export settings' before backing up, activator works but its settings app is broken in 9.3.3
[doublepost=1469403898][/doublepost]about the 7-day thing... when I check the device management thing (former profiles) it clearly says that apps from developer blah blah blah are trusted on this iphone and will be trusted until all apps from the developer are deleted.
so is apple lying and it will stop working after 7 days? hehe
Until you mentioned the activator thing, I didn't even know this was possible... thanks.
What's this about 7 day thing?
some ppl here and on reddit claim the cert that allows the jb app to run on vanilla iOS will expire after 7 days and the app will not run anymore. that message seems to contradict it.
If I create a new Apple ID can I then restore my latest backup using my actual Apple ID?? Starting from scratch would be rough.
I'm also concerned about using Keychain on my jailbroken device. How risky is that and does updating the root password make Keychain any more secure? Obviously this is all "at your own risk." I don't do pirated tweaks and am pretty conservative.... but the stakes can be high if I access anything sensitive (banking, online purchases with credit cards, etc). I've got two-factor and/or Touch ID on whatever I can but there but for the grace of... y'know.
Pangu didn't require your Apple ID? I've read it does (though some have reported that you aren't prompted on an iPhone 6, which is what you and I have). All I had to do was backup, control+ update. When it was done, I didn't need to restore.

Wow, I'd love not to have to restore. I have a huge library of audio files and I transcode them from lossless to something smaller so it takes a day to restore from a backup.Yes, I did create one at iCloud.com first using a backup email address. But I didn't need to restore from a backup. It took all of maybe 10 minutes.
When can we expect a Mac version? This sucks

If it takes too long, is it possible for you to get parallels?
Sorry to sound dim but what's a control+
Update.
Of love to update to 9.3.3 and JB without having to restore etc.
I'm still not sure I want to give up a stable 9.0.2 fully unteathered JB.
Does anyone have an idea how likely it is they'll push an update through Cydia to make it fully untethered?
Edit : Saurik has said over on Reddit that an unteather for this JB is unlikely so I think I'll just stay as I am and hope for a fully unteathered iOS 10 JB in the future.
Would someone mind updating in here where the jailbreak is at right now? is it just semi or pretty much done? And i have not JB yet because i do not wish to make up another apple ID and password. Is it really bad to use your own?
That's if you can get to that website. It might be best to wait a few days. Right now, I keep getting page not found after several minutes of trying to load. You don't need an Apple ID.
I applied the JB direct from Safari on my iPhone.
A respring does not lose the JB but a reset such as turning it off and on does. However part of the process of JB is the pangu app that sits in your Homescreen and let's you JB again from the phone.

That worked quickly. Thank you!I used the link in iclarified write up.
