A Thread For Happy People

I know I'll be an early adopter. I'll probably be going for the 32GB WiFi (as I will be tethering it to my iPhone out in the wild.) Not too much, and not too little. That way when a more advanced version comes out, I won't be out TOO much, and the first one will go to the wife/kids (or strictly for odd jobs around the house.)

I think about the only thing that REALLY disappoints me about the iPad (other than it not being out yet) is that the camera connector only seems to be in the SD card flavor. What about people with "Big Boy" dSLRs? I would be nice if they also had a CF version. I'm sure it will come, but that's my only real hardware based complaint. Software complaints... Puleaze... all that takes is a new update.

Spending time making new iPad Desktops ~ As far as I can ascertain, they will need to be 1024 x 1024 at 132dpi to cover landscape and portrait view.

I'm sick of the complainers. They haven't even seen one in person and already are claiming the speaker sucks, etc. etc.

I'm happy, because I just watched another video from launch day (skip past the first 10 seconds of ad):

It got me excited all over again. But now I'm also kind of sad because I had about talked myself into waiting for the 3g version. Can I bring the WIFI version back to best buy at 30 days and exchange it for the 3g version? Anyone have experience with their return policy?

Apple's return policy is easy to find on their website. The short answer is: No, not without lying. And I hope you're kidding, but there probably are people out there who are seriously thinking about doing that. They are leaches on society, driving up prices for honest people.

Do you know if Best Buy is going to have these for Launch? I suspect no...

Would not expect BB to have iPad at launch, but shortly after likely yes. It seems supply will be limited to Apple.com or Apple stores. Especially if rumors of supply issues are remotely true. It is telling though that launch is limited to US initially, when iPhone 3GS was worldwide (not sure about the worldwide launch of other iPhone's?).

My only issue is whether or not to wait for the 3G. The GPS might be the kicker though. I can't wait to make all the haters jealous of my sweet sweet iPad come April 3rd/30 days later!

T minus two days until preorder!

I'm still sticking with the 32GB WIFI, but the 16GB WIFI is hanging on my mind also. The thought of GPS with the 3G is tempting, but I think I can wait until Rev 2.0 since my iPhone will always be with me and it has GPS, so no missing that.

It is getting nearer, and it seems talk on this forum has died down since the announcement of the release date. The calm before the storm.
