I love the X form factor, gestures and FaceID. I have no desire to go back to TouchID or the big bezels. I'm looking forward to having the X in a Plus size.

Ditto. I’ve been torn because I love the form factor but miss the Plus size screen for consuming content. At times the keyboard feels a bit too narrow too. I think I will be happier with the X Plus. Worst case I go “back” to a XS.

I’m sticking with my X.

I like Face ID, but Touch ID is just as good - although I sometimes wish Face ID had a little more “friction”: More than once I’ve re-unlocked the X by glancing at it while putting it away.

I Don’t think touch ID is just as ‘good’ as Face ID Is, to word it more appropriately, I think Touch ID is very much different from Face ID in different measures, both of which have their advantages over each other in different environments.

Coming from iPhone 7 (6s) (6) without ever buying the Plus model, I truly appreciate the bigger screen size of the X. However, I definitely won't upgrade to a 6,5" iPhone.

faceid is good but touchid was better. faster and not issues in bed or on tables. Its a tradeoff. I wish it was faster and worked better but its not bad. Having more screen is better to me but its not as fast as touchid or consistent thats for sure.

I honestly miss the form factor of my 7 Plus, but love everything else about the X, esp. the build quality. I can't wait for the features that I love on a bigger model.

What was lacking in the build quality of the 7plus? Do you just appreciate the heft and glass/stainless steel aesthetic?

I bought an iPhone X last January and I sold it in March I went back to my 7plus for me I prefer Touch ID I didn’t like the narrow screen yes the overall design of the phone is nice but I guess I like simple things like my home button.. I do hope if the iPhone 9 comes along it’s of the same design as the 6/7/8 plus phones or I’m screwed lol...

I don’t think you’re screwed but you probably will Be holding onto your 7plus for several more years

Unless you trade up for an 8plus

Happy with the leap/reduced bezels/FaceID? Or ready to go X(s) plus size?

Are you missing or Ready to go back to the standard 4.7/5.5 16:9 and TouchID?

I LOVE it. I do not miss TouchID at all. I can't wait for the improved FaceID on a larger screen. That's really all I want out of the new iPhone.

Although grouped notifications are nice too. ;)

Love my X, love it, love it, love it. The only thing is that it's too small, so I'm looking forward to the XS plus. I also wish they had kept these at 16:9, but I guess it's the way things are going and I have to accept it. A XS plus at 16:9 would have been incredible IMO. But the X leap frogged over anyone else with that screen configuration, Apple always surprises you just when you think they've been complacent they jump out of nowhere ahead of the market again.

Now to contrast that, my wife does not want my X, she wants to keep her older iPhone 7. She says the X is too big, but when I put it side by side it's only a few mm taller. I think she just fixates on the screen and that makes the phone appear to be larger, when it's virtually the same size body.

This pretty much sums up my feelings. The X has been a phenomenal device for me. The gestures are incredible and really well implemented. It makes using the phone so much quicker and smoother.

As one of the more vocal detractors of Face ID and losing Touch ID, I definitely did a full turn around and I now really love it. It's not super accurate, but it's not much worse than Touch ID. The one thing I wish for is that they would take away the need to swipe the screen up after it recognizes you.

Yeah gestures are awesome, I miss them whenever I'm on an older device. I also thought gestures were going to be terrible at first, but now I can't live without them.

I know a lot of folks have voiced the same problem with how the X opens but I like that it stays on the lockscreen. I normally have a bunch of notifications waiting on me, so once the phone unlocks and the messages reveal themselves (SUCH a cool feature that I never get tired of seeing in action), I start triaging. I very rarely need to swipe up to start working on anything.

Yeah, maybe a toggle for those of us who want it. +10 for using the word triaging in regards to notifications!!

Ha! It's an epic battle, one that I lose more than I win. ;)

You're right, a toggle would be the best bet. But as we know, Apple knows better than their customers so NO TOGGLE FOR US!

Exactly. The X just feels worlds more expensive and well made. The stainless steel bands, the glass back, the heft. Just a bit more solid.

The reason I got the X is to have a relatively big screen and a not so huge body. Mission accomplished. I'm good for at least another year, if not longer.

Agreed. I don’t miss Touch ID one bit. I find myself trying to swipe up to unlock as well as tap to wake on my secondary iPhone SE at times. Lol.
