I would also imagine the X plus being a good bit heavier, think the 8 plus is 202g or so, expect the X plus to be 220g+, this might not seem much but i had the 7 plus which weighed 188g and you do notice straight away the extra weight coming from the 7 plus, so anyone upgrading from a X to the X plus will be shocked at the weight difference, X=174g X plus=220g+, that's 46g or so, believe me that is very significant.

I wish the next X goes back to using aluminum so the weight can at least goes back to iPhone 7 weight.

Wrong. They’re already making Touch ID in the screen supposedly coming in 2019.
This will be my last reply, but I find it baffling how you can’t admit what you said was completely false, and Apple stated, Tim Cook and other Apple executives (Federighi, Riccio) stated Touch ID under the display was always Plan B and face ID was plan A, and they have no current plans for Touch ID in the display in the future. The quote above debunked exactly what you said about they were ‘working on touch ID for the display for the 2019 iPhone’, when that was not even true remotely what you posted, which the direct Apple source I provided your post inaccurate. For The record, asked you for a source and you never provided one given the fact that you stated:

You _can’t_ tell someone they are wrong if you can’t back your own statement up with a source.

What a strange response. So you resurrected a thread back from September 2018 to tell me I’m ‘wrong’ about a possible (From an unreliable source) rumor with Apple using a display fingerprint reader in their iPhones for 2019? There’s no concrete evidence of this happening, nor did any Apple executives comment on this, so that doesn’t make me wrong or you right about anything. To be honest, you really don’t have an argument, so I’m not sure why you’re even quoting me with something of a sketch rumor that has no validity.

For the record, I’m assuming you didn’t read the whole article that you posted, because this is exactly what it said about a patent that Apple filed in 2016, which is completely dated:

However, while Apple's patent was only published on April 30, 2019, it was actually filed near the end of 2016, so it isn't outside the realms of possibility that we could see it in the iPhone 11.”

Thanks for the ‘Overly-late’ discussion anyways.

I have an Xs and was briefly using a colleagues 8 Plus today. My feelings on picking it up were “what a lovely phone”. I think my previous jet black 7 Plus is the iPhone I enjoyed the most. Face ID can be good, but also annoying if reaching from an angle where it does not open.

Face ID stomps all over Touch ID. Much prefer the new form factor as I also hated the home button.

The phones still look good however when I spot them in the wild.

No problem.

I have had all of the iPhone minus the 6 and the XS and I can definitely assure that the X is the best iPhone that I have had. I came from the 8 Plus and I love Face ID, the gestures, OLED, and the size which is perfect for me. Apart of that, I think that the design in silver is one of the best.

The only thing I want to specify that I liked about the home button, was the ‘haptic sensation’ when they introduce that with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8, that I really liked versus having the mechanical pushbutton style.

Same here. They were much more tolerable than the "classic" home button.
