Here's a quick S4 recap stat-run down:
21.7" screen
24-core processor
SUPERINCREDIBLEAMAZINGAMOLED screen
A bunch of random useless features that have no actual application for every day use that Samsung will use to say that "Apple doesn't have these things"
Cheap plastic body
Terrible battery life
Glitchy, laggy TouchWiz
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

The Fandroids will buy it, say that it makes them "smarter than iOS fans", they're "power users", Samsung will make some more commercials about how it is better than the iPhone, and they will continue to bring up the misnomer that Apple is losing it and Samsung, with all its innovation, is the wave of the future. Meanwhile Samsung continues to blatantly copy and rip the iPhone while they try to get a peek at iOS source code in an attempt to rip off Apple.
The 5 is great.

It's always amusing when somebody starts a thread about how rubbish a phone is and asks the owners of the particular phone for their opinions lol!

I took the opposite route and came from Android to iOS. I think it was the best thing I did personally. I love the iPhone 5 and don't agree with the points made here but it's all personal opinion at the end of the day. I'm not somebody who is influenced by what my friends own or think is cool, I buy what I like.

My advice would be to sell your iPhone 5 and purchase an S3 as its clear you'll be happier. Just do it and don't look back. The problems you say you have are not going to go away just by discussing it so do what you think is right. ;)

There is no bad phone when it comes to high end ones, there only are people who likes more one over another, it's just a matter of opinion and choice.

I've got an iPhone and my friend owns a Galaxy S3, I used it for a couple of hours to see how it feels like and for me I really don't think the huge screen would make a big difference. I take pics, post on Facebook and Instagram, write and read e-mails, Twitter, etc. In real word situations I don't think I need a big scream or the fastest processor, if I do I'll use my MacBook instead. Simple like that.

Skeptic: My iPhone 5 does each of those things you describe. You can instal them through the Cyndia store along with over 90% of Android's unique features. It takes 5 minutes to set up. I can't really help you with the screen size though, so you would have said that the iPhone 5 is much better if it had a bigger screen though right?
Someone doesn't understand the state of jailbreaking. Or what the jailbreak store is called.

iPhone 4 was my last iPhone. It's boring, unoriginal, and lagging behind the competition.

My GS2 can do so much more than iPhone 5, and the screen size makes it better than the 5 alone.

Just wait it out. The 5S will be even better. It will look the same and and have 98% of the same functions. :p

Judging by your name, you have no taste anyway. I tried the S3 as a work phone, after 2 months I through it back as it was utter rubbish.

Bigger is not always better!

I don't blame you OP. I was with my friend who works at Apple in the iOS department and he was flabbergasted at the features on my Note 2. If you want a GS4 then definitely get one when it comes out.

iPhone 5 blows away the 4S IMO. Lighter (which I highly value and appreciate), better screen, LTE. Nothing awkward about the new screen IMO. My only gripe, and it's a big one, is that Apple is long overdue to offer the option of a larger screen that is also wider. Talking anything between 4.7" and up.

OP if you want the S4 then get it when it comes out. iPhone 5 has high resale value.

Can't wait to go back to iOS after having been using the Note 2 for almost two months. Still can't stand the AMOLED display, missing the variety and quality of apps with iOS, pissed to see the countless adware running on my device and last but not least; I miss how painless it was to upgrade to the latest software version of my phone with iTunes. I wish I hadn't fallen to the Samsung/Android hype on the net, lesson learned....

Interesting perspective. I'm curious why you bought it if you seem to dislike everything about it. Did you purchase before seeing in person?

I found myself making tons of excuses as to why I should stay with iPhone. I did really like my 4S, but when the 5 came out I was so unimpressed. I feel like if your brand new fancy release doesn't make me want to upgrade in the slightest bit, then you are doing something wrong. I'm not saying I have to upgrade every year, but the iPhone 5 seemed like a downgrade to me.

Love all my other Apple stuff, I'm not hating on the company. But the iPhone just didn't sizzle my bacon this time around. I have been trying other phones out, right now I am using and really enjoying a Lumia 920. I am very eager to see the S4 and I am very eager to see if iOS 7 is even a worthy contender or if it's just more of the same.

Your absolutely right. But it would be foolish to even pick up a Note 2 when the S4 is due out in 2 months.

But then the note 3 will be close behind.... well then why get that when the s5 will be just behind that? Your life is full of tough decisions.

Yeah if you think I'm reading all that, well yeah...

LoL what a good way to defend your argument!

I'm in the same boat, my girlfriend has the Galaxy and I have an iPhone 4S and a Macbook. I do hope the 5S does have improvements worth upgrading to, since my upgrade is coming up in May!
