Ok so here I am to throw a wrench into the issues with Big Sur 11.3...
I finally had a lax day at work and got to sit in the air conditioning at the office and figured I'd get some paperwork done. So I went to log into my cMP in my office and first thing I noticed is it was not at the normal Lock Screen, it was at the login screen. Soo I logged in and it wanted to verify my iCloud, first sign of updating. So I hit up one of my employees who said ya while I was out on client sites, all the Mac popped up the update thing so she updated them all. DOH!!! For most machines in the office it is no big deal, however for my cMP and 2010 MacBook Pro no one is supposed to touch them. So I was expecting a terrible day from that point on and was preparing my mind to roll back to 11.2.3 from my time machine.
To my surprise the machine works almost flawlessly. I can reboot without getting the shutdown error at login. It reboots just as fast as before, it is a little bit slower on the shutting down before a reboot, but everything that was working , still is. Including my USB Card in Slot #4.
There are some hardware differences between my home and office cMP. The one at my office is a 2009 cMP with 1 6 core processor. It is flashed to the 5,1 firmware. The other thing is that although I have tons of USB peripherals they are different than at home. They are mostly printers, scanners, and drive docks. I have 3 monitors all 1080P on a GTX 680 4GB which I have never bothered to set up for DRM cause well, it's my office computer -lol.

I am trying to explore this more as I have no clue what the differences are other than the machine year, the vid card and the less RAM in my office machine. Now that being said I have not updated my OC in forever since it is my office machine and has been very stable. I have attached a zip with my EFI files in case someone wants of has the time to explore this.
For my 5,1 at home I had to restore back down to 11.2 because it was too unstable/. However I did create a partition on another drive which I will be installing 11.3 on to start doing some testing with.
