I’m quiet the opposite, after seeing the videos and reviews, I’m happy I went with that color. Midnight green looks so nice, Apple knows what they’re doing.

After hearing Rene Ritchie describe it as a slate color, which is a perfect description for it, I’m even more excited to get mine. I like how it can look like gray in some lighting, green or blue in other lighting scenarios. That subtle dynamism of the color is awesome, as opposed to the garish Samsung rainbow holographic, which will look dated in a year or less.

Reading through this thread is making me laugh because watching all the unboxing and reviews has made me even more happy I got the Midnight Green. Due to the metallic nature of the coloring and the frosted matte glass back, the midnight green appears to be different colors depending on what lighting you are in. There are times it is a deep subtle green. There are times light hits it and it shifts to more of a teal. There are times it looks very gray...close to space gray even. I can't wait to see it in person.

I love that we posted pretty much the same thing at the same time.

Ritchie ... the way he described it , almost sounded like Johnny Ive :D

I would honestly see how I like it in person first, than if you do in fact regret it, the iPhone demand is not great enough anymore that you won't be able to get the Silver within a week from release...I always stick to the Space Gray or Silver variants because I know after a few months the 'new' appeal is gone for me, and I'd rather have something neutral...

During preorder, I had hard time deciding whether I should get my all-time favorite White or the new color option. My decision to get the Green was mostly swayed by the power of the hype machine, and the obvious fact that it’s a new color. But after seeing the pics, I regret not trusting my gut. In pics, Green looks so dull and unrecognizable. It almost appears as dirty faded black. Zero personality. On White, the three cameras would’ve stood out much more prominently. I’m at a loss and honestly, ready to cry... :(
So buy the one you want and return the Green.

I'll take your order for Midnight Green. Did you happen to order it in 256GB 11 Pro?

You guys should like do a swap or something.

The problem is that I don’t live near an Apple store

You don't need to get it from an Apple store- most actually get them from their carrier. If you have a Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, or T-mobile store (assuming you are with one of those big 4) you could just go to their store to get the one you want and you can return the green one if it was ordered online.

I would just try not to worry about the color. The important thing is that you got the phone. If you use a case, you’re not going to even see it much. I ordered white/silver but was watching review videos yesterday and thought the midnight green looked awesome in the real life videos of the phone. I wasn’t as much of a fan just going from Apple’s renders. I’ve gotten my second choice of color a couple times and never let it bother me. I was just glad to have the phone.
