Other After seeing pics, I regret getting Midnight Green. The more I see it in photos and videos, the more I ha*e it.

So return it, order the silver, and wait. Not the end of the world.
I sold my old iPhone this past Monday. I can't afford to be without a phone any longer.
Hah, most of this thread is just people killing time reading it and then saying
1) the OP should do whatever he wants if he doesn't like the midnight green and
2) it's a waste of our time to have read the thread and
3) it's a troll thread and we score it variously 5 to 8 or so I guess.
Then we may even tack on an explanation of why we dropped in here... Soon the thing will be 200 pages long, we'll be pre-ordering a iPhone 12 in some other color options but still pondering over whether this is a troll thread and how to score it.
Well then, cover it with a case and deal with it until next year’s launch.
Sometimes we have to live with our decisions.
You can return anything at any time but there maybe a price to pay and sometimes you have to be willing to pay that price for satisfaction.
Lesson is that going forward you should stick with the safe choice be it Silver or Space Gray.
You see initially I went with the safe choice Space Gray but the more I thought about I wanted the odd ball color. If for some reason I don’t like it I’ll return it and pay the price. But I feel I made the right decision for me.
There’s nothing anyone can say to make you feel better. Just strap up and rectify the situation.

Yeah seriously, they should have made the images way better and some other easily distinguishing mark for the more discerning pro user like yourself, White Ceramic seems reasonable, but whatever.
What I would do in the future is order one of each color and size at launch and just return the ones that don’t provide the value you need.

I have about 10% doubt on green- have to see it in person. if not SG will do just fine.
Thanks for the video, so glad I went back to Space Grey this time instead of Silver. Looks so premium, and the cameras blend in better.
I totally respect that aesthetic, but I'm the opposite – glad I went with the silver because I love the contrast of the camera. It has character.

Silver iPhone looks great too. My XS Max is my 3rd Silver phone in a row. Wanted to change it up this year.
I tried Gold last year for 3 days but it looked too pinkish under certain lighting conditions. Midnight Green would be stellar if it looked gray 100% of the time, not feeling the actual green part.
Now I know we are being trolled. You buy a phone for the novelty that other people will feel? You care what other people think about your phone? You need to start working on this. Oh my!
Then just use it. It is going to work exactly the same way as any other color! Phew!

Yes, I like to show off my gadgets. Yes, it makes me feel cool when people enviously drool over my latest iPhone. That’s why I try to have the best model, the right color from the very beginning while novelty is still fresh. How does this make me a troll?? Explain, because I don’t understand...

I just have a hard time imagining what it is like to live in a world where you are that concerned about what people think of your phone. I like the name phone bc I enjoy having the latest phone and the best tech. I can’t shoot photos very well but I enjoy trying. As a mom, I talk to my kids a lot about the importance of self worth coming from inside and from our actions...not our things. It is something I hope they learn over the course of their childhood. Your gadget will shoe off just the same even if it isn’t the exact color you want...some people will like it more than the other choice you have decided you want. Some will like it less. Hopefully you will find peace with the choice you make. It is after all just a phone.
If I had to pick I'd skip OD green and skin tone. I've bought green shirts at Nordstroms and regretted it after wearing once or twice. Also, knowing that frosted glass on other devices tend to show marks more visibly on darker colors vs white and preferring brushed metal frame over colored frame I'd settle for white first then maybe grey.
