Other After seeing pics, I regret getting Midnight Green. The more I see it in photos and videos, the more I ha*e it.

there are two groups that get the green one, the ones who like it and the ones who just want the new color.
THis guy does an unboxing of all three phones and compare the green against the space grey at 3.15. The difference seems quite subtle.

It's a subtle difference, but I think the green and grey both look nice. (I went with silver though!)
If I ordered Midnight Green and it looked more like a dark grey with green undertones, I’d be upset too. That said, my worth isn’t tied to an object. I’d just take it back and get a different color. We are paying too much for these phones to settle for things we can change.

Same here. Can’t wait to get it tomorrow. Midnight Green is one of the colors of my NFL Team Philadelphia Eagles. I didn’t choose it for that I chose it to change up from Space Gray every year.
oh NO... I believe this guy... and he needs to meet up with the guy that hated the green... but bought it so everyone would know he had the latest, greatest iPhone!

I’m torn between the new color and the gold finish. Even though I don’t like green, everyone will know you have the latest and greatest iPhone just by looking at it. That may be one reason to choose it over previous years gold. What will be your choice and why?

Yah... and when I read your post there, there were four more pages to go. As troll threads go, that's pretty good just on volume so I'd have to score it 7/10 or so. Anyway it's passing the time while I wait for the hard boiled eggs I just put into icewater to reach a good temp for stashing in the fridge, so there's that.
But I'm bailing on the delights of the remaining pages.
If I were updating my iPhone collection this year I'd probably splurge and get that midnight green, I think it's sort of funky and intriguing, but I'm fond enough of my sunny yellow XR to hang onto it for awhile. I've kept an SE to use as my actual cellphone because I prefer the smaller form factor for toting around... the XR hangs out on my coffee table and acts like a mini iPad on WiFi only. It's another reason I didn't upgrade, waiting to see if a smaller form factor is really off the table in Apple's future phone arrays.
Do you cook your hard boiled eggs in an instant pot? You really need to, if you don't! perfect eggs every.single.time!
I LOVE my Instant Pot. Have chicken cooking in it as we speak.
And yep, I will never use anything else for hard boiled eggs, or rice either.
exactly! I never bought the colors if I didn't like them. never got to god-awful gold. only color other than grey/black was the rose gold. I I bought green because I LIKE THE GREEN. I've had apple's green leather case the last year (along with the forest green modern watch band.) I don't give two 💩 💩 if people like MY phone or not... "I" like it!

I love green too. That’s one of the reasons I pre-ordered it. The other being it’s a new color option, which is an attention-grabber and a head-turner. But the more photos and videos I saw of it, the more I hated it. It’s nowhere near the shade of green shown in Apple’s promo shots. The green in promo shots is beautiful, lush, rich, deep shade of green, which I love love love. But in reality, it’s more like a week-old dry poop after eating too much spinach. I feel misled and cheated. 😫
How the heck do you know what it looks like “in reality”? Do you already have it in hand?
Ordered silver, had second thoughts, went back and ordered green - but will return or cancel before I open it unless what I see in the store tomorrow knocks my socks off. It's easy (for me) to get tired of colors, and in a case you don't see them anyway.
You're right, I don't have it in hand. But seeing it in photos and videos that were created by regular people and not some marketing team is pretty damn close to reality, I'd say.
Or not, since you don’t know what they are using to film the video.
Just chill out, see if you like it in person, and if not, exchange it.
Easy to say. I can't just exchange it. The return period ends October 4. The wait time for Silver is October 10-17. I'm not near an Apple Store. Nor am I on major 4. Overall, I'm in a very tough and tricky position.
