Lots of us had that status earlier in the week. Same for many with MBP orders due Tuesday. Just a store glitch. It’ll correct itself eventually

Had that for like a day. It cleared up the next day and was showing accurate delivery date.
It didn't happen with my AirPods 3 order, but it did with my iPad Mini 6. For the longest time it showed "null". But it still arrived with no issues on the date that was initially quoted in my confirmation email.
Ordered mine today, unfortunately minutes after 16:00 so the shipping date slipped to Oct 28 - Nov 1. Had to think for days if I’m ready to give up volume controls on EarPods which I have used for so many years. But I’m really sick of wires and now that AirPods don’t look hideous anymore I feel like I’m ready for my first set of wireless earphones.

The funny thing is that when you first move to AirPods and you wanna change volume, you’ll naturally reach for the lil button on the wire but they’re not there so you’re reaching for nothing ?
I got used to the controls though. Usually just meant using my Watch to control the volume or pressing the volume up/down through my pants.
In the future it would be great if you could drag your fingers up/down the spine of the AirPod to adjust the volume.
Oh I bet that is going to happen for a while. I have used EarPods for about six years, wire buttons definitely in my motor memory. I mostly use earphones while driving cars, so need to figure out which is the fastest and least distracting way of adjusting volume and skipping songs.
Mine was showing "Arrives" for day or two and now when it went from processing to preparing to ship shows Arrives Tuesday Oct 26.
Yep! I checked the app just before coming on here and it has been updated as well to show the date.

I’ve had my tracking number for a few days. It showed up on my ups app. Delivery for Wednesday
They are probably shipping Monday for Tuesday delivery via Next Day Air Saver. That’s what happened with my last two pre-orders that originated in the US.
I missed those volume controls, but also the ability to "rewind" a song for the last 20 seconds or so to hear that great guitar solo again. Or a third time. I've since become used to adjusting volume from outside my pocket but still miss the rewind feature. On the plus side, it was nice to be rid of the wires. They used to get caught on things.
My new AP3 order says arriving the 26th, but still shows "preparing to ship".
I got a tracking number from the web app. When I try to track it, the website curls up into a ball and just lays there whimpering (spiky ball forever). Too soon I guess... I would have expected that it would just pop back with a 'Too soon, sporto. You have to wait! HAH HAH HAH!!!', but no...

Relax, you likely already have a tracking number, UPS is just waiting for the container it's in with thousands of other orders to be scanned as it hits the plane door threshold. Mine says the same thing, and I have a tracking number, that doesn't work, yet. Anticipation, it's keeping me waiting...
Ordered mine through Walmart for the Chase Freedom 5% back promo and they aren’t delivering until Thursday, which is fine since it gives time for me to read reviews and cancel if they aren’t good.
