I love the idea of a skin or wrap for the AirPods to make them black. I wouldn't want it to cover any of the sensors though.

Strongly considering risking the $11 for an order.

In the meantime until I find a decent solution I've just put painters tape on my wife's and kept mine original

I ordered the same black one from ebay last Monday and I'm still waiting for it to ship. Guess it's on the slow boat from China they always talk about!
:eek:I received the tracking number on last Thursday, today i track on post office is arrived and wait to custom check. I think you'll get it soon;)

Check out SlickWraps

much better than painter's tape.

interestingly enough, slickwraps never shows installed pics, always renders. I'd love to see how these really look in person, getting it to wrap around contours takes time and skill, not something everyone can do easily. Why not post actual photos of them installed??
Thought the same thing. I've got no experience with slickwraps products, but feel like I've heard they are hit and miss.

because they are a crappy and deceitful company (and they never ship what you order from them!)

I've had awful luck with SlickWraps in the past, but I'm willing to give this a go. I'll let you know.

You are MUCH braver and tolerant them I am!

I like how these look (based on the pictures on their site). But ya... $5 shipping? That seems a bit much. You'd think it was small enough they could stick it in an envelope with a first class stamp!?

Just got it today! 16 days later. Good case though. I really like it. Airpods case fits nice and snug and I can charge it with the case on. Good quality leather too.

I just bought the Matte White so it didn't look too different while adding a little scratch protection, but I will upload before and after when I install.
[doublepost=1484785952][/doublepost]Guys I just found this company called PodPockets. They just liked one of my instagram posts after I posted my new AirPods today so I thought I would share. It offers the functionality that Slevin was looking for.

Well.....I got my Slickwraps. Typical, is all I can say.

The pieces that cover the case are adequate. They fit ok, and don't interfere with opening/closing the case.

The pieces for the earpieces, are another matter. The fit is awful. On the right piece, the cutouts are nowhere close, although the left piece fits much better. I don't understand that big a difference.

The fit is so bad, that there is a lot of vinyl left at the top, making it both look awful, and difficult to close the lid of the case.

From the picture, you can see how the center holes are perfectly aligned, but there is nothing under the far right opening.

The wrap around the stem is just fine. I have since removed the top, and just left the wrap on the stems.
