£0. I am sure the order process mentions that FedEx calculate the duties before - so the charge on WaterField in $ includes the import duties. Think EBay do something like this. But I paid nothing extra to FedEx and it was plain sailing ⛵️
That is what I thought, but that other comment from Fatboy71 had me concerned. My order was also £103 which seems pretty good value to me, I am happy with that.

My WaterField case just came in and I am VERY impressed with it. The materials, construction and utility are all excellent.

The butterfly magnets flawlessly switch the headphones to low power mode.

There’s extra storage all throughout the case, with enough room to hold my AirPods Pro and extra cables/adapter. I honestly couldn’t ask for anything else out of a case. Well worth the money, in my opinion.

I also have the black on order. How is the size? I am a bit concerned about the space it will take in a backpack.

Really happy with my WaterField case. Spot on in fact barring the slightly tight pocket for the UK power brick.

My review is here:

It is a bit pricy true but nice that they offer a pre-payment of the import duties and the FedEx shipping to the UK was ace and speedy.

🎧💎

If you dont mind me asking. How much in total (including the import fees) was it?
Also, do you get the option to pre pay the import duties on the check out on the Waterfield website?

The reason I ask is, I'm in the UK and really like the look and also from the reviews of the Waterfield case, and have got stung quite a few times with higher than expected/estimated customs fees. So in light of this it would be really helpful to know the exact cost before ordering from another UK purchaser.

I'm going to watch the video of your review now.

I asked the same question, I ordered mine and they have billed me £103 including shipping and taxes.

Felix confirmed the same thing with his as well, there were no more charges applied at all.

Yep. 100% as also mentioned on the video comment section in reply :)

Seems to be fully confirmed by WaterField in their shipping page: https://www.sfbags.com/pages/shipping-at-waterfield

$99 in GBP is ~£72 so the £103 ($140) in definitely including duties and shipping.

Love that kind of service as it makes it ten times more likely that me as a UK buyer will click BUY when I know there’s no surprises or handling charges from dear old Royal Mail

Agreed, they seem a great company to deal with and I can’t wait to get my case.

Very much liked your review on YouTube as well, thank you for that.

My Waterfield case, originally slated to ship Jan 21, just shipped! Chocolate brown color. They seem to be ahead of schedule!

Super helpful video.
Thanks so much for making it and sharing it on here, much appreciated 😀👍

Wonder when apple will release their own? Has me hesitant to order a third party one since I generally prefer their products

They probably never will. I don't think they would have made the case that comes with the AirPods Max if they planned on releasing a case later.

I ended up getting mine in today and I really like it. Fits everything well and doesn’t add much space and I really like the pocket layout. I like how the top pocket has space behind it while not adding bulk and then the brick pocket in the middle and cord pocket it’s all laid out really well. Also really love the black outside, interior and it really pops with the green which I’m also really digging. The flap magnet thing I wasn’t too sure about when I first saw it (just looked kind of clunky) but like how it keeps the cups separated and can put things into low power mode or just fold out of the way so in practice I’ve found it thoughtful and well done.

Just had the Geekria case arrive. Cannot fault it. Quality is excellent, the case feels like the inner lining of an Apple cover, that velvety, velour feel. The case is sturdy, well constructed and had the magnets which seamlessly awaken and put the AirPods Max into sleep mode. I’m so glad I got this over the Waterfield, as it ties in brilliantly with the Space Grey, is phenomenal quality and cost literally 30% of the price.
Would highly recommend.

I wonder if the zipper rail will rub up against the cans inside and scratch them. It seems like a possibility to me. Well made zippers should always have a thin cloth lining on the inside that prevents it. The Waterfield got that wrong.

There‘s one case on Amazon that has a lip inside of the zipper to prevent contact, but it only accommodates the AirPods with telescoping arms pushed all the way in, which makes it a no go for me. This is the one https://www.amazon.com/co2crea-Carr...lja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1

I just ordered the same Geekria case, via Amazon UK.
It was showing unavailable, however I emailed email Geekria direct and the reinstated the availability for me to make an order.

I know this is the case thread, but I thought I’d share this item

I can see this being useful for people who got the white headband version of the airpods and feel it gets dirty too easily. Or even for people who have sticky product on their hair and still want to use the cans without getting the headband dirty.

Is there a way of charging the headsets while they are in the case with the zipper mostly zipped up just leaving a little place for the cable to come out?

I use something very similar to this to protect the headband of my Focal Clear headphones.
