Yeeeeeep. I also got the same backorder email for both of my Best Buy orders. Pretty sure we will be in order limbo for many moons. Just reminds me, unless it's some amazing sale, never ever order anything from Best Buy.
Woke up to this this morning. They sent it at 11:55 last night - talk about getting it in under the wire.
No progress on my Best Buy order for the pink color, so I checked availability at my local Apple store this morning... and it was available! Glad I was able to still cancel the Best Buy order.

I just got a weird call from FedEx, with some sort of bot saying my package will be delivered tomorrow and that it requires signature. Is that a Canada thing, or is that just how FedEx works? Just seemed kind of suspect honestly. In any case, I should be home.
Received a delayed shipment email from best buy last night BUT upon checking my USPS account a label has been created for a package coming from best buy via first class. It is coming from NY (Im in NJ). The item has yet to be picked up though. I doubt it will be any time soon due to the big winter storm hitting tonight.
Is anyone else seeing their order bouncing all over the country with FedEx? I got my shipping confirmation on Monday with an estimated delivery date of Tuesday Dec 15. They weren't picked up until yesterday afternoon in CA, but it said they should be delivered today...cool. This morning, I check the tracking and they have an arrival scan in Indianapolis at 4:30 am. I live in Denver, CO. So it looks like another day with no headphones...super frustrating.
Mine shipped Monday as well, never got picked up until yesterday, left Philly yesterday afternoon, arrived in Indiana at 1:32am, haven't moved at all... supposed to be delivered today, not looking like I will receive today either, granted I live in Michigan, but with my experience with Fed Ex, they aren't going to surprise me. I agree with frustration.
What I like so far. FYI I’m using Apple Music 256 AAC and Amazon Music Ultra HD which is around a 3700 bitrate.
1. The build quality is incredible. Every part of these headphones feels premium.
2. The ANC is on par with Sony.
3. I like the button placement and Digital Crown. I hate headphones that have seven buttons at the bottom of the headset and require “Simon says” like patterns to navigate the settings or change settings.
4. Very comfortable for me and I have a big head. Obviously comfortability will be relative.
5. I sound is fantastic. The low-end is punchy but controlled and the highs are clear without sounding too bright. The mids sound a bit off to me and I have no EQ’s selected. I can’t put my fingers on it.
6. The obvious benefit of the Apple seamless paring, built in settings (no separate App needed).

Best Buy just sent a shipping notification for USPS, but no tracking number. I was able to find it on my USPS dashboard—it looks like they sent it First-Class Package from Kansas—to NY! I'm hoping it arrives before the 22nd when I'm due to leave town. Hard to believe that they would send an almost $700 package by regular mail—just totally idiotic. I would have happily paid the extra few dollars for Priority or even Next-Day.
I had the same situation—but it looks like mine is coming from Kansas to NY! Hard to believe they shipped it Firs-Class Package and not Priority or Next-Day. Last order with Best Buy for me...
I ordered from BB with a promised delivery date of 12/15. On the evening of the 14th, the status on BB website went from delivers on 12/15 to "We will let you know when it ships". Best Buy had also refunded the charge amount back to my card. That lead me to believe that it would be a while until it shipped. Yesterday morning went to the apple website and saw my local store had stock. Ordered and they were delivered at 11am. Canceled my BB order immediately
Received an email last night from Best Buy stating that my order was delayed. Ordered on the 8th with a guaranteed shipment day of the 15th. After looking at USPS Informed Delivery, I found tracking for the package. Hasn’t been dropped off to USPS yet and is coming from Indiana (I’m in Washington state).

I wonder if Best Buy is using that "ship from store" stuff they do sometimes, where the item is actually shipped from a store's stock and not a warehouse. This would explain all of the random shipment locations that don't seem to make any logical sense.
