I was considering waiting for the next revisions, but tried for fun to check pricerunner's website to see what prices were going for here in Denmark, and all of the resellers are setting them at the same price point as Apple (with same long delivery times, and some even higher prices than Apple).

But then I decided for fun to check if Tele companies are selling these as well, and one of is already offering them with 35% discount, so I decided to go ahead and order a pair. Ordered friday and they are being already delivered today, monday, and since it's a company buy, the VAT will subtracted as well.

So looking forward to try them out, and especially for meetings, since the current Airpods pro do that task well, but not for long meeting, which tend to make my ears sore and battery is an issue as well, when you've been talking for hours

So currently an excited Airpods Max camper who can't wait for the postal service to deliver :D

This review is very detailed and far from stellar. I am still buying mine this week, though...

I loved that my stereo feature for my two HomePod minis worked with this video.....I didn't need to wear headphones to hear how they would sound. Awesome review!

Yeah, this is one of the most amazing and fun reviews I have ever seen

Nice review from an audiophile/tech youtuber.

Great review! I remember this guy kinda slagging off AirPods Pro when they were released, so it's interesting to see how positive he is about the Max.

I've heard enough good reviews about the sound quality now that I'm willing to go for them, though I guess time will tell whether the weight and clamping force are dealbreakers for me. I really hope it's a clear decision either way, if I'm in love with the sound but find them slightly uncomfortable then it's going to be a tough choice whether to keep or return them.

Snazzy Labs also has its review out, and this is the most understandable and clear review, showing it is not a bad Headphone.
And I totally agree with them :)

Don't believe all the hoo-hah about the clamping force; the APMs come fairly tight out of the box but stretching out the headphones (both hands on ear cups and pulling out) almost immediately fixes the problem. And this is coming from a person who wears XXL hats. Like a good pair of leather loafers the APMs just need to be broken in.

They’re so desperate for positive reviews. Here’s one. Found it. Some audiophile. See? I didn’t waste 550 and he said the bra case was pretty.

Ive spent a lot of time going back and forth A/B between the AMP and the Sony MX4s. The AMP sound better by far to me as they have a deeper far better sound stage but they have more dropout issues than the Sonys.

I have to say the more I see people wearing them (including myself) the more ridiculous they look. I really don't like how flat they look on everyone's head and the Apple watch looking shape. This is of course totally subjective but I eally think these look ridiculous on people's heads. I get what Apple was doing as far as trying to make them immediatley noticeable, but I don't think they came out very well.

The "obsession" is that they're 550 dollars and still pale in comparison to the battery life of cheaper, better headphones, and to top it off, you can't ever turn them off, so much like their AirPods namesake, they just sit in their case and drain battery. The difference being the AirPods sit in a case that actually keeps them topped off to 100 percent, whereas these 550 dollar headphones will just sit there and drain battery.
Join the military and take fifty bucks off of that price.
Then you also get a coin to win some free drinks every so often.

Just sit and soak in the fact that you are smarter than people who buy these silly things. Heck, you are double more smarter than I am. You don't have to rub my face in it like a bad dog that pee'd on the floor again.

Bit of advice.
Don't get a high maintenance significant other. Headphones will be the least of your worries. You'll be supporting that for decades!
My wife costs SIGNIFICANTLY MORE than the cost difference between 2 sets of headphones.

Exactly this! Some of the arguments are laughable. What is a fair price for something? Fair price is what the seller is willing to sell and buyer is willing to pay. Ever shopping for house or rental? Apple spent years of R&D and they decided $550 is the fair price to compensate for all the engineers and research they did. You don’t agree? Don’t buy. Move on. Simple. I know it sounds complicated but some of you guys are overthinking too much. I learned a hard lesson about what ‘fair price’ is when I went with my wife to shop for hand bag. The price is outrageous but to her it’s a great deal because she can use 3x a year so the price is ‘fair’. Who am I to argue?

I do get the military discount. Even at 499 these are a joke compared to the competition.

Then you don't purchase a joke right? You buy the things you actually like.

Personally I don't think a set of headphones is worth the amount of time and effort you are putting in to them. And that isn't a knock at you, I would think your time and sanity is more valuable than really any Apple thing.
Unless this is something you are passiante about spending your time doing I guess.

Either way. Happy Holidays. I appreciate the time you spent serving the country.

We're on a forum dedicated to Apple products, which is why I'm discussing them so much. Apple have many products I love, and several that are just dumb for different reasons, which I wish were better(Apple TV, HomePod, AirPods Max).

I got ya.
I guess that is where our differences are. Apple doesn't make anything I love.
Apple certainly doesn't make anything that makes me care if someone else buys it.
I don't have a reward system for steering anyone towards or away from their stuff so I just use it if it's something that interests me, if it doesn't interest me I don't buy it. If I buy it and find out I don't like it, it gets returned.

I know well inside of any return time if an item I got is for me or not, I'm not really one to take that long to make a decision.

Carry-on señor or señora.

I find the APM looks very nice, except when looking head on at the slab of aluminum. There aren’t any other details to break up the plane. I prefer the B&O H95 in the looks department.

I sense a good business opportunity for Sony and Bose on Macrumors!
All Rewards systems are definitely more beneficial to the businesses than the consumer.

To the headphones review.
They sound good.
That thing they call a case went out with the trash Tuesday morning with the box. I am not using that thing. Ever.

I would have bought that case from you. Just saying.
