I factory reseted before sleeping and was at 77%. After exactly 6 hours inside the case it is 73% (4% drain) . This the correct low battery mode I guess, because you lose 4-5%/hour when listening music. In other words:

With 4% of battery you get:
- listening time: 1 hour
- idle time in low power mode: 6 hours

I’ll keep checking
I don't get how 10% drain in 24 hours in the case is a "feature". That's 2 hours listening time lost for nothing. If I don't use them for 2-3 days it's an even bigger issue. They have been so vague about the battery life expectations. typical

Truly it’s the end of the world! LOL
They’re always “on” for Find My to function properly with them. I don’t find 10% per day to be that awful. You would normally charge them a couple of times a week anyway.
Why would I normally do that? I charge my Beats Studio 3's once every two weeks. This is a stupid design.

Man, I thought something was a little off. I have gone to use them and have been surprised at how low the battery was, I thought the case wasn't seated correctly but I still can not figure it out. Looking forward to some updates that will address the few bugs I have ran into.

3 hours later inside the case: 3% of drain

so far, after 9 hours in the case it went from 77% to 70%

This is turning into an OCD for me rather than enjoying them ?

now im about to use them.

I literally think Apple caused me to develop OCD over my tech products. You can't use Apple products without being OCD.

10% battery drain in 24 hours in the case. This is after a factory reset. Is this supposed to be normal? I'm just going to leave these plugged in overnight tbh. They drain fine while in use. The standby time is just really alarming. So much for an ultra low power state... Has anyone gotten less than 10% drain in 24 hours at any percentage other than 100%? Even at 99% mine drained to 90% after reset. I haven't seen them stay at 1-2% loss in 24 hours since release

you literally described described what happened to me.
Only when is 100% it hold the baterry longer .
If it’s less, it losses baterry around 10% if kept k. The case for 24 hours .
All this after factory reset

I’m seeing the same type of battery “drain” on mine. The thing is I don’t think it’s a real draining issue here. I think the battery readings are all over the place on these. One night I went to bed when the battery was at 51%, next morning it was showing 53%. Today I hit 1% and was hoping to fully drain them, but they were playing at 1% for an hour and the battery still didn’t die. I just had to plug them in, as I needed to do something else.
So I do believe it’s more of a software issue/incorrect battery readings than an actual battery drain.

I don't know. both my Mac and iPhone show the same battery level. I think them being on for 18 hours in the case still is what drains them. that time needs to be shortened to 1-5 hours or let us choose how long. I think that's the reason for the standard drain. aside from the overnight complete drain bug which is an actual bug

Same problem here. I called the Apple support and they asked me to try to fully charge the headphones before night, unpair them and then see what happened the morning after. Result: overnight the headphone went from 100% to 62%... I made contact with support again and they told me this should therefore not be a software issue but an hardware one. I am trying to schedule a meeting with Genius Bar, but there is no availability for the next weeks...

Wow if it is proven to be a hardware issue across the board rather than a software issue then Apple may need to do a recall

It’s an isolated incident. I haven’t seen such a drastic drain on mine at all. The most I’m seeing is 10% per day.

Earlier this week I had mine go from 100% to 4% overnight followed by 100% to 1% overnight. This was after a couple of weeks with no issues. Did a reset and they now drop from 100% to 99% overnight. All drops while in the case. Been using them for many hours every day. On the iPhone, IPad, MacBook, working at my desk, around the house... very versatile and solid performance. These things are like computers. The occasional reboot helps performance. I am confident Apple will continue to improve the software. Extended holiday return date ends today. I will be keeping mine.

I’m now convinced that it has something to do with them being used with a Mac. I only use them with my iPhone and for the past 3 weeks I’ve only seen a 10% drop every 24 hours while in the case.

nope. i only use these with my mac mini, I've had the 10% drop and a complete 100% to 1% drain both after resets.

Nope what?
That was my point: the issue seems to be present on the units used with a Mac. I don’t have this issue, as I only use it with my iPhone.

Maybe it's a multiple device thing? Had this happen for the first time last night last night and I have it paired to a Mac and iPhone

I have a new pair coming soon that I got at a cheaper price so I am curious if that fixes the problem

It might be. Today I noticed that while I was on a call on one iPhone the headphones kept pairing with the other iPhone, which was locked and not in use at that moment. Perhaps this has something to do with the massive battery drain

you said you get the 10% drop with iPhone. I get that with mac too. I'm saying the 10% isn't good. the complete drain bug is a separate issue.

Yes. As we mentioned several post ago, this seem to be a bug related to having multiple apple devices.

in my case, the AirPods max work just fine (10% daily battery drain when in case) after a factory reset. And they keep working fine while I use them ONLY with my iPhone or iPad.
But after a few days, after using the AirPods Max also with my Apple TV HD and 4K , my Apple Watch, MacBook Pro, the severe battery drain problem appears again, losing around 40-50% over night.

then, I have to perform the factory reset again and start the same cycle ?
