I went for blackWhat colour did you order. Please post pics!! 🙏
I think I'm going to be right behind you tbh.
And no one should be buying the “new” ones at full price.Strange that it's taking longer than usual for these to get refreshed. Late 2024 is what I'm hearing from leaks. They're still good headphones so you can get them now if you don't want to wait, just don't buy it in full price.
The people buying them see value in them and frankly speaking probably aren’t too worried about $550 to begin with. And no one should be buying the “new” ones at full price.
I’d like to see true comparison pics of the new blue to the older blue.I ordered the blue color. Looking forward to their arrival!
My theory is this is a stop-gap release, and they'll launch a true v2 next fall with H3, lossless, audio over USB-C etc. and don't want to have to re-up the price in 12 months.Apple is lucky I just don’t like my orange ones and having USB C is cool. Starlight and a fresh battery will be nice. The price hurts $499 wouldn’t have killed you Apple.

Having received a pair and taken them on an international trip last week, I honestly don’t see how an update could improve them. (Though for the price, the least they could do is upgrade to the H2 chip.) It did take a bit to get used to how tightly they clamped, but they were fine by the time I traveled home. I wouldn’t want to sweat in them because of the fabric ear cushions, so they’re not gym headphones. But the NC and sound is truly awesome – I had been a doubter before. So, they didn’t fix all the downsides that users and reviewers have been giving feedback on all these years?
I had planned to buy these headphones for the first time when Apple released the second version and fixed the issues. I can’t understand how Apple didn’t address them.
I see two possibilities. Either Apple is milking consumers for what they can get with the new colors and USB connection, planning to update them again in 1-2 years. Or they’ve given up on this product.
What’s your opinion on the case and condensation? Those are the main concerns I have.Having received a pair and taken them on an international trip last week, I honestly don’t see how an update could improve them. That said, since they were in the 14-day window, I did return them so I can get a pair with USB-C. It just makes my life easier.
I’ve not experienced the condensation, but I honestly don’t mind the case. It takes up less space during travel, but you just have to handle it with more care — something I’d already do for a $550 device. What’s your opinion on the case and condensation? Those are the main concerns I have.
You use the same cable you used for your beats? As of yet, I have no success with USB-C. My Beats Solo 4 are functioning properly over USB-C, and the audio quality is substantially improved. Could you please provide any insights into potential errors I may be making?
Has anyone tried the USB-C to 3.5mm adapter that Apple had from back in the early "courage" days? https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MW2Q3AM/A/usb-c-to-35-mm-headphone-jack-adapter
Edit: note I don't have the new USB-C AirPods Max, but this info might get me to upgrade from Lightning ones...
