Got My AirPods a month or so and couldn't be happier, switching between devices is working perfect and the sound is better than I expected, I mostly use them for podcasts, for music I got over ear cabled sennheiser.

One thing I recognized is my Logitech MX master is useless while using the AirPods, just switches desktops and does everything I'm not telling it to do.
Anybody got a fix for this while staying on Bluetooth with the mouse?

Anyone else seeing wear and tear on the inside of the case? Mine shows some black, metallic-like marks where the case's lid comes into contact with the case. Looks like its only gonna get much worse. I've only had the airpods for about a month with pretty light use.

Airpods = Use at office for work or just general use
Beats Powerbeats3 = Gym and Jogging
Bose QC 20 = Travel

I'm a very happy person with this setup and it's very compact. :)

I can't believe how much I have loved wireless headphones. I was never bothered by the cords in the past but damn it is so amazing for work and gym. I'm already trapped like a sardine in a plane so no biggie there for using a cord. :p

I'm using the same thought process.

My AirPods deliver today and I see them as perfect for use at my work desk, around the house, laying in bed, out and about, everyday use.

I have the Powerbeat 2s for exercise & yard work.

And my Bose QC 35s for travel.

Great minds think alike lol

Give it a clean every few days.

Use a toothpick to scrape some of the marks off & then a damp tissue (water) to wipe it off. Then try the toothpick under the tissue.

Should clear it up if you don't leave it too long between cleans.

The issue is they're permanent black marks that don't wipe off. It might be part of the magnet being exposed.

What Bluetooth version the AirPods use? Can they be paired with a BT dongle that supports 4.0 in a PC using Windows 10 64 bit?

They should pair without issue. I think they use 4.1 or 4.2 but will be backwards compatible with 4.0

Apple can thank me for another sale - my new boss at work whom I met for the first time recently was very interested in the Airpods I was wearing. He's now hoping his local store gets them in stock.

Anyone else convinced others to buy them?

Possibly. My wife has been skeptical of them until friday when we were mountain biking. When she saw how easy it was for me to make a phone call and send a text at the end of our ride she was blown away. She's not much of a tech person but I predict by summer she will be sporting her own pair of AirPods

How come when I open my airpods case, only about 50% of the time does it show the case/airpods (battery life) on the screen.

they still connect and everything like they should, just the notification on my phone screen doesn't happen every time.

I was having a good run with this (~a week), but on one occasion yesterday had trouble with it showing up.

In the past, I sometimes found flipping the case lid before unlocking/waking the phone helped.

wow i do not like these at all. they look fantastic but hang off my huge ears and tge only way they sound goodis if i continue to push them closer a few millimeters where they'll stay for maybe a minute or two before i have to do it again.

i bought them on a whim but im sticking with my beatsx that sound great and dont move.

Received mine today.

I think they are great, and pairing with my two IPPs 9.7 is quite easy. I wish the Pencil could be paired that way.

I tested with the Apple-TV 4th generation, and had to pair them by pressing the button in the Airpods case. Then I had to adjust the volume level in the ATV "general settings" (I recommend using 90 or 100%, you only need to adjust this once). I was not impressed with the volume level in the ATV case, but I think it's satisfying enough, and the signal (from the Airpods) is only interrupted randomly when I am not in the same room, or separed by thick walls.

I felt a little overwhelmed as explained here, after minutes of use, however that's not a definitive conclusion.

In the next week(s) I'll see if they can be paired with an USB dongle I ordered (4.0), to be used with a Core i7 (PC) using Windows 10.

Interested in this thanks.

Wondering if there are any BT dongles out there which are easy to connect to. They won't be as easy as IOS devices with the W1 chip of course, but I'd be interested in one that detects the Airpods as fast as possible.

Or are they all pretty much the same?

Sometimes it also doesn't show up for me but I can always see the information I need in the battery widget.

I think to get the case to show up in the battery widget the case has to be open and at least one AirPod needs to be inside.

I just got my AirPods and just Bluetooth linked them to my iPad. I now read this is the wrong way to do it. You are supposed to link to your iPhone first and let it propagate via iCloud. I want to use the AirPods mainly with my iPad. How do the earphones know which device to connect to for sound if I have the iPhone and iPad close to each other?

I decided to give them a try. With Apple's 14 day return policy, I figured I have nothing to lose.

1) The sound turned out to be better than I expected. I'm fussy about my sound and I've gone through some high end expensive ear buds like Shure E4c and E500 with total disappointment. For example, AirPods sound much better than my Bose QC15 (no highs and not much definition overall but good NC) and Beats Solo 2 or UR Beats earbuds, which both are unbalanced and bass heavy. I find the AirPods balanced enough that they don't need EQ. While they are not for critical listening, the overall sound is not really objectionable at all.

2) My ears are totally wrong with their design. I cannot keep these things in my ears. After a while they start to slide out of my ears. As they do, the sound quality changes, bass diminishes and obviously the volume decreases. Pushing them back in restores things for a while but in no time I keep finding myself pushing them back into my ears. I think I'll try some silicone skins and I would appreciate suggestions from people with similar fitting problems.

3) Sound quality, connection stability, pairing with Apple Watch, Mac, iPhone and iPads and switching between them is problem free and works without a glitch.

4) Despite problems described in #2, I'll keep them.

^^^ this is a good summary of my experience as well. i dont think i can keep them without a secure fit though, itll drive me batty. and also beatsx sound great to me even though theyre bassy. they have a wide "soundstage" or whatever thats called that i really like
