I use a natural cotton purse, and the ipad bag is made with blue fabric

hi-- I don't really use hand creams since my hand wash is moisturizing.

My purse is white cotton, and my iPad bag is. Blue/gray.

On a side note now since I scratched the hell out of the case trying to clean it, I ordered a silicone case to try to cover it and not remind me of how much I scratched the hell out of the case lol.

The watch band was weird--- it got all scummy gray and if I figure it, that would be the most likely to get makeup on it since it's near my hands but I only put the watch on before I leave for work.

I'll try alcohol swabs when I get home :D I scratched the crap outta the airpod case but Im hoping the watchband can be helped.
I really doubt it's the cloth cases that's doing that. I've had mine since launch day and it has zero discoloration and I don't baby it at all. It goes in my pocket every day when I walk the dog and sits on my kitchen counter getting moved around all day.
Since it's was warm out here (SoCal) lately, did you use sunscreen at all? that stuff does a number on plastics.

The only sunscreen I use is a facial one (I wear long sleeve shirts, leggings w/skirts, and pants most the time) but this discoloration was all over the case, not the airpods themselves. Those are pristine. I could understand if somehow my makeup migrated to the airpods which go in my ears but the airpods don't have any dirt/stuff on them.

My routine in the morning is get up, shower, do my hair and makeup, and then go to work. The airpods in case stay in either of my bags until I get to the bus stop or work. I would have had to rub the case all over my face to get that much discoloration.

The semi good news is much of the tint came off with rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. It took about 15 minutes of repeated swab & buff with a soft clean towel. It's not 100% perfect again but MUCH better. The downer is the ridiculous scratching caused by me using an eraser to try to get the color off. I really really really wish I had not listened to that webpage :<

A plus is the tiffany blue silicone case I ordered arrives today (whaaaaa a day early?) so hopefully it covers enough of it to stop messing with my head. I figure as long as the airpods themselves work, within a few years maybe they will have been improved enough without an increase in price to allow me to save up for another set.

now to figure out why the apple watch update screwed up my ability to control volume while using the airpods lol.

I knocked one out of my ear about 2 months ago when I wis fiddling about with my hood (it was raining). It fell into a puddle but it still works perfectly.

First couple of days I didn't think tapping was working at all. But it seems as though after a while they just got used to it. No problems now.

In the UK,

Got a call in the morning of my birthday last week "we have the Airpods in the Apple Store in Bromsley" I say ok, book them for me please.
Had to take a train, pay a bit of a painful fare for it. Anyway, got to the Apple Store and my Airpods were there, all good and nice until... Double tapping works like ****. I had to press around 20 times for it to work twice. They exchange them and the second pair has the same problem. I test it with my dad's Iphone 7 and is the same issue "ok I guess, must be happening with all the Airpods" So I left took the train back to London and check on google how frequent is this issue. Then I start to sweat, very VERY few people has this issue.
So I have to go to my closest Apple Store to exgange them for a refund as they had none in stock. Spent around 5 hours in total going, staying and coming back from Apple Stores on my birthday to still come up empty handed in the end :(

Any luck? Tried it on mine. Never heard a sound.

First try they "weren't activated" or something like that.

Second try this morning right after a workout using them. Not a beep or any other sound.
It worked with mine but only works if the airpods are outside of the case.

air pods need to be out the case to work. so if you have one in your ear and one drops out thats when you can use where they are.

Gotcha. Didn't realize that. Too bad because I was trying to find where I'd left them (in the case). I knew they were in the house but forgot where I'd put them down. Wife found them for me though.

So after a couple of days with iOS 10.3, I can say that bluetooth drop-outs have diminished quite a bit. I've had a couple, but they are much rarer than before. I hope this holds. I've also had a couple of cases where I initiated a call and had to hang up and try again because the voice on the other end was highly distorted and "slowed way down". This has happened twice. Easily resolved by just calling again. So that's a bit annoying, but overall 10.3 has better bluetooth and AirPods drivers.

three months of using AirPods from day one. Workdays I had them on 8 hours plus, I've used them at the gym, on the bike, in hospital and my conclusion is they have seriously improved how I use my iPhone (SE)
One thing I particularly like is how far away I can walk from my iPhone at home or the office before it cuts out and how quickly they charge.

I noticed the poll in this thread shut off last year. I've re-opened it. Here were the results from the first week of AirPods coming out before I reopened it.

My Airpods have been in use a few hours every day since december 22. They are with me everywhere and I can't be without them now.

One irritating thing is that battery level is rarely displayed on the watch. I hoped 3.2 would fix this but it's still missing.

For those in the U.K. My mate just picked some air pods on amazon. So clearly not that hard to pick up after all

Same here, the battery life shows up on my iPhone but never worked on my Apple Watch 2.

I wouldn't mind a notification pop up for batteries on the AirPods falling below 20%. There's some sound that comes through but I miss it if I'm busy on a call or something.

Speaking of, I think the low battery notification repeats itself at 10% if I'm not mistaken? Or it may just be every x seconds/minutes after the initial 20% tone sounds?

So i just got them and just started to listening to them. I think i'm on my third song.. haha

First impression, setup 10, sound 8, fit 7
I feel like in order to really enjoy the AirPods you need to have an apple watch to skip track and adjust volume. Anyone feel the same way? I want to leave my phone in my pocket and not worry about it but still be able to change volume and more importantly change tracks. I think if apple offered a software update to double tap the left to back, tap the right for next track instead of siri/pause (since you can just pop one out) it would be a huge improvement. Maybe tap once for volume up/down depending on which bud you tapped. (maybe triple tap for track, double for volume. I think this could easily be done via an update no?

Surprising they fit pretty well. I've been bobbing my head to get them to fall out and so far so could. Some slight movement but they aren't out.

I think you need to switch the apple watch off and on again each time for it to show up

AirPods are very rare to get in Mumbai, India even though Apple has officially launched them some time back.

They sell for INR 15400 which is approx US$ 240.

After weeks of hunting in various apple stores accross, I finally managed to find a seller on eBay India selling them. Even though it was at a premium, with the help of coupon codes, I was able to get on a price similar to Apple price..!!

Just got them....and my initial views are they are superb. Loved the ease of setup and the sound quality is decent.

It fits reasonably well....but I have a fear that they might fall off if I am running...but still too early to judge.

But I am in love with them...they are fantastic.

I can see if I swipe up from the control centre on the watch.
