how often do you guys check istocknow?

Prior to picking up a pair at my local Apple Store, I kept istocknow open on my browser at work and would refresh whenever I had a free minute. I had the email alerts set up, but I figured that if I had the site open I would have a better change of nabbing a pair.

I'm on 10.3b6 and I am not having any problems.
I've been plagued with these Bluetooth issues with it dropping, but I've downloaded iOS 10.3 beta 7 and it's appears to have fixed every one of my connection issues. My AirPods no longer drop and then reconnect. Music doesn't automatically pause itself and Siri and the Apple Watch doesn't cause the connection to drop. Thank god!

I bought my AirPods last week and before I bought them I used to read posts like this. Got me very worried. However, I have to say, after I got them, I haven't experienced a single dropped call. They've been working perfectly! (Touch wood) I'm on iOS 10.2.1.

Well, I lost my Bluebuds bluetooth earbuds the other day, so now I find myself considering AirPods as the replacement. But I'm really on the fence. On the one hand, I've read many positive reviews. On the other hand, I'm reading about various glitches and bugs (like the ones discussed in the posts above), which is completely contrary to the claim that the W1 makes these the most reliable bluetooth buds you can buy. Also the lack of sound isolation, while preferable at times, is also a drawback in some situations.

I'm guessing the second generation AirPods will have a noise cancellation feature that can be turned on and off, and improved hardware. But it might be more than a year before we see a hardware refresh.

What to do, what to do...
Buy them, put them through their paces before the 14(?) day cooling off period ends & decide whether to return them or not.

The manhattan stores seem to get shipments Thursday and Friday but I've grabbed a pair on a Monday once

walked into apple today, walked out with airpods.

was a spontaneous purchase. haven't used them much, but i do like them so far.
In Feb. I was in Syracuse, NY and went to the Apple store for something else. A store employee was doing demos of AirPods and got me to try them. I walked out with a pair. Turned out it was the last pair they had instock that day.

My AirPods just arrived, sadly in my country they probably won't be officially for sale for a few months and paid like 240$ for them aftermarket.

They're great, I am shocked by how tiny the case is and how well they work. I'm really glad I got them even though they were a bit more expensive for me (in Europe they're about 190$ in most countries so it was just a 50$ premium).

Anyone having skipping issues with these? I'm on my second pair and still having skipping issues while listening to music.

Anyone is using the AirPods with WhatsApp to send voice messages ?

When I try to do that, we can't ear anything

Skipping as in what? Every now and then I'll get a very quick blip in the music, like a quarter of a second.

I feel like it happens when connected to the Apple Watch more but it where the song skips for far too long. Not a quick and done thing. Like a 2-3 min thing.

Let me add, when talking on the phone thru the AirPods, 1 out of 3!times they disconnect and I have to manually re-connect them.

This morning when I went to put on my Airpods the right one was again not fully charged. A nuisance since I just had it replaced which was pretty inconvenient. I asked how they knew if the problem was the bud or the case. They really don't. So now I was thinking it is my case.

After the workout I put them back in to see if it self-corrected and now they both show full charge.

I wonder if it is possible to not fully seat the buds into the case for charging? Or maybe the charging connections in my case just don't make perfect contact with the right bud all the time?

Through your trouble-shooting, it appears the issue's with your case. You should have no trouble exchanging it.

Also get the Genius to put a spare set of (equal battery leveled) Airpods into your current case whilst waiting in store to see if it happens again. If so then it'll only improve your chances of getting a new case, but as I mentioned, shouldn't have any issue anyway if you explain what's happened.

So I found a pair from a guy locally and grabbed them for the wife and she's says "why would I want those". Lol. Ok I have 2 pair

not sure if this was mentioned, but those that wonder why the popup takes a while to show up when you open the case, i believe the airpods go to sleep after not being used for a certain time, to preserve battery life.

if you close and reopen, it's instant. just that initial one isn't.

Have you guys tried cleaning the contacts with a little bit of alcohol on a q tip? I don't have my AirPods yet, so I'm suggesting this without experience with the device nor having checked Apple's recommendations, but I have done similar cleanings of the keyboard contacts on my iPad Pro.

The AirPods that I ordered on Feb 12th and that were due to be picked up at Apple Store on March 29th, have now moved up to the 27th. Two days earlier than expected. Just FYI

Well the first thing is that at our nearest Apple store which is not that close it's difficult to book an appointment online and if you go to the store and check in guarantee a 2 - 4 hour wait for an appt. It is around a 30 minute drive one way, utilizing a Toll highway so travel cost is pretty high. I was pretty annoyed they don't offer an exchange by courier because or the time commitment alone, let alone the travel cost.

Anyway, back to my AirPods I removed and reinserted the pods in the case and this time the right pod charged. It may be a suspect contact in the case for the right pod that is the issue. Having to make a 2nd trip to the Genius Bar when I asked on the first trip if there was a chance the case was the real issue is frustrating to say the least.
