I called my local Apple store and they told me that they did not get it. They ask me to keep checking online for in store pick up but that says that is currently unavailable for store pick up. Plus, it does not let me check the inventory of the airpods in my nearest store..

I don't have a 29th I'm also a January 12th. i have a 12:30 Eastern Time order from the first day, I was just wondering if anyone from the 29th had any activity because I anticipate we'll get them earlier than the week of the 12th.

I've been holding a half baked theory that Apple defaulted to Jan 12 en masse after they went through the first batch. There seems to be almost no account of dates in between Dec 24 and Jan 12. That would open the hope that as the inventory flows some part of the Jan 12 block gets bumped up.

Again - a half baked theory but I've seen time and again how Apple stays really conservative about delivery dates.

Well there goes part of the theory. If I can float a trial balloon with you - it seems then like the "batches" are week 1 (this week), 2 weeks (Dec 29), then 4 weeks (Jan 12), now 6 weeks (end of Jan). Its still fairly large spread of 2 week intervals so hopefully that leaves the window for some Jan 12's to see the light of day in the earlier Jan timeframe.

I have a feeling they'll arrive today. I spoke with UPS this morning to clarify delivery instructions. (Sometimes, my concierge isn't there, so I asked that they buzz me from downstairs if no one is there.) I asked the person when she expected the package to be delivered and said "at some point during the day," so we'll see.
