AirPods, Order/Shipping Thread

Just placed an order with AT&T. Chose standard shipping and the status is "preparing to ship". We shall see
 
This is horrifying. I can't decide if it would be a good idea for me to order through AT&T or not. The reps have been telling me all different things!

Yeah, they have been really sketchy on chat and like to dance around questions about inventory

How soon after you placed your order did it change to Preparing to Ship?

My order with AT&T changed to preparing to ship, too! Only took about 30 minutes.

I did choose expedited shipping, but I doubt that affected how quickly it went to the preparing status since standard shipping orders seem to be moving just as quickly.

Ordered from AT&T this morning with expedited shipping at 8:30. Still "In Progress".

Got my tracking number for order I placed 4 hours ago with ATT.. not sure why u guy keep calling reps ..just order they are being shipped out
 
Ordered from AT&T at 8:45 AM EST with expedited shipping and mine says "Order Status - Preparing to ship."
Hoping to get a tracking number soon

UPDATE: received my tracking number at 2:07 PM EST!

Ordered mine at 10:30 am EST and have "Preparing to Ship" in my status. I ordered with Standard Shipping.
 
I am an idiot. I have an order with apple, Best Buy and now AT&T. AT&T keeps saying you can see the ship date but its empty for me but it says preparing to ship. But when I order my iPhone through at&t it says preparing to ship for weeks before it ships so thats really no comfort. lol. Oh well. They will eventually come from someone I just hope they don't all ship the same day!!! Hahaha

Looks like you got your order in at AT&T just in time, they are no longer available to "add to cart"

For what its worth, my order from 8:30 AM EST this morning with AT&T with expedited shipping is still showing "In Progress".

Right? I've been keeping a steady eye on Best Buy, Target, and istocknow.com so I thought it was a miracle when these were saying 1/6. Didn't hesitate to order.
