mine too and they are shipping from a local place near me in los angeles county. this is by far one of the quickest kickstarter project i have backed. even in this environment they delivered. amazing.
Yep same. First time “Kickstarter” backer received confirmation email about their dispatch. I live in Scotland so may have a longer wait than those in USA but so looking forward to receiving mine. Very smooth experience so far. Lots of updates during production and not a bad price too. Highly recommend so far.

I chose the white ones. I look the look of my all white APP.

will airpods charge with the case lid open? (sorry if this has been asked)

Please update how the charjens are I’m in the U.K and really close to ordering a pair but just would like a little more feedback from people that have tried them before I order.

I'm pretty cynical to be honest, the ones I ordered from the USA on eBay seem to be the same material as the Chinese ones. Will be interested to see if the CharJens are genuinely different.

i first ordered these https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sponge-Foa...Airpods-Pro-Airpods-3-Headphones/274140499698 and when i purchased them they claimed to be memory foam. i’m glad to see they changed the description because they are not memory foam. after extended use i found the fit and sound good but uncomfortable.

then i bought these https://www.ebay.com/vod/FetchOrderDetails?itemId=274234555741&transactionId=2263141878017 these are true memory foam. the fit, sound and comfort were all good. but i couldn’t pass the ear tip test in the settings app.

i received the charjenspro tips today. they are not identical to the above ebay tips. the memory foam is softer and compresses and keeps the compression longer. so if i press in the tips before inserting in my ear, they stay compressed and slowly expand. the tips are also more securely affixed to the app. i’d say the connection is as secure as apple’s. but, when i put them in my ears, as the memory foam expands i can feel the app slowly slipping out. with that said, the app remains secure in my ear. again but, i cannot pass the ear tip test in the settings app. the sound is good and they are comfortable. i think they are expensive being that you only get two pairs. ymmv and maybe it is just my ears. my opinion and thought is maybe the foam allows the sound to escape because it is not a solid material and that is why the ear tip test fails. i think i’ll just stick with apple’s silicon tips and save my money.

Thanks for the feedback has put me more on the fence weather to purchase them or not.

@darrinS I have no problem passing the ear fit test with any of the foam tips I have tried. But I do need to use the blue tack trick occasionally to clear the grilles so the test will pass - that is the same on the Apple tips or third party ones.

I'd really give it a try, I am fairly confident your ear fit tip test will pass afterwards.

Also the link you posted for the eBay foam tips doesn't work as you seem to have linked to your (private) order page.

I managed to find the tips @darrinS referred to in his post and indeed these are the ones I've tried. I am not convinced they do differ to the Chinese tips but for now they're working for me, they stay in my ears and the ear fit test works (once I did the blue tack trick - the test was failing on the Apple tips as well).

Still awaiting my CharJens, won't be in the UK for a while I would think.

The original Airpods hurt my ears after wearing them for only 15-30 minutes. Has anyone who experienced the same tried out the Airpods Pro? Was wondering if they feel more comfortable.

They are far more comfortable for me. Yesterday, I was in conference call he’ll and my Pros died. Resorted back to my AirPods 2 and quickly realized how much more comfortable the Pros are for me.

Apple is shipping these with free express delivery. I get mine on Monday. Hopefully one of the tip sizes will fit correctly.

I just got my CharJens and will post my update in few days...

first things was to try to do ear fit test but it's failing... they are very secure in my ear so i have no idea why it's not passing.... but I had the ear test not pass even on original tips ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I bought the memory foam ear tips from Foam Masters on eBay and they didn't last too long. They started to break apart by February and I bought them in early January. I noticed they have a version 3.0 out now. Did anyone purchase their 3.0 version? What are the differences? Any better? Can you recommend anyone else's foam ear tips?

i have been using the charjens more. i read their instructions about compressing the tip before putting in your ear and then holding in until the tip returns to form. i do pass the ear tip test now by doing that. the noise cancellation is excellent. they are definitely not the same as the ebay tips i purchased. hopefully the charjens last long. i really feel like they are expensive for two pairs. but they are a good quality. they look nice also, the mesh ear wax guard looks nice.

The Complys are great for awhile until they lose their so-called memory’, then break down to where they simply fall apart under normal use.
For me I get two months, tops, with pretty much daily use.
I buy them on Amazon now since the only place I can find them ‘locally’ ( and that’s a stretch) is about a 2 hour round trip. S

Not sure if this has been said before but cleaned my Apple tips in hot soapy water and they are staying in my ear like they did when they were new.

Use blue tack on the vents. I am sure the test will then pass.

Received my CharJens yesterday. Prior I was using modded Comply(Med/LG?) tips under my OEM Apple tips(LG). I have used the tips for about 2 hours and during 2 work outs.
The quality seems very good and they are very comfortable. To me the sound quality seems a bit better than my hacked tips.
However the fit(LG) is smaller than my hacked pair. But the foam is a bit "stickier" then my hacked pair so they stay in pretty well. I think as the foam heats up they might expand a bit?
Good purchase on kickstarter fo $20.

In mid-December, I did the Comply TrueGrip Pro mod using a small Comply on one side and medium on the other side (medium APP tips on both) to fit my ears. Well, the small Comply tip recently developed a tear at the base which got progressively bigger to the point that I had to throw it away today (now using medium Comply on both sides). I am a relatively light user of APPs, not using them daily and for short periods of time at that.

When I reached out to Comply about this (not mentioning the mod), they said their tips typically last about 2 months under normal conditions. I also wonder whether the small size was just too tight? Curious what others' experience has been. If the medium will not tear over time, that would be great, but if I have to replace these every few months, not a very cost-effective option over time and makes me wonder whether:
  • Is the Symbio W foam is more durable? Can anyone who's done that mod comment durability?
  • Can anyone who's tried both Comply and Symbio comment on whether sizes correspond (is a medium Comply approximately the same size as a medium Symbio)?
  • I've also heard that the Symbio W foam is more firm (maybe uncomfortable) vs than Comply - can anyone comment?
Finally, anyone tried these? Apparently the next version will include a filter.
