Received the charjens, pretty nice fit (took the large). Sound isolation is also quite nice. Not bad for 20$

Indeed quiet expensive. With other brands of in ear headphone my ear hurts. So I just want to try if this could fix that.
Other thing is that 2 pair of original buds kost 9 euros. So it’s more expensive, and maybe not necessary for everybody

Definitely not spending $33 for something that costs $3 to manufacture.

Anyone’s got any idea as to why they cost so frickin’ much?

So what’s the consensus among Charjen owners as to speed of insertion into your ears, versus the stock tips? In other words, do you have mash them (like ear plugs) every time when you get a phone call? Thanks

in my experience yes. i don’t get a good seal unless i “mash them” and hold in for several seconds. i just today went back to the Apple tips.

Thank you sir! That is what I was afraid of. I use my Pros for phone calls for than anything. Thanks again.

Received the Charjens, they are not good for me. I tried both of the sizes. I mashed them for a good 20 seconds and waited about a minute for them to expand fully in my ears. I will say they are more comfortable than the Apple tips and they fit very snug, but that's it. There is absolutely no bass and the sound is very tinny and not good. Just awful for me. I never had a problem with the Apple tips. Just wanted to support CharJen and give the tips a try.

I used them for 3 minutes, back on my Apple tips. Not only that, I broke the mesh screen on one of the Apple tips, so I'm calling Apple now for replacement tips. First time I've ever had to take advantage of AC+ for anything haha. Go figure, it's for a 50 cent pair of tips.

I tried one from Auyuiiy (Amazon 12 €) and I'm disappointed. I chose size M, like the original APP tips.

The mayor different is about 50% less bass. The fit is good and comfortable but the bass is a big problem for me. I also ordered the Charjens but I think, they will have the same bass problem.

So I'm wondering why only Harthag wrote about this problem of memory tips. I think, this is the main reason why apple do not use memory tips. The sound and the energy of the sound (specially the bass) will absorb and you need more power bring it through the memory tips.

For me, it's a bad compromise for better seal. But lets see how Charjens do?!

I have never been able to get apple earphones to fit properly. I read the forums including the ones about memory foam. I didn't want to spend more money, so instead I modified some of the hacks I read. Now, not only do my AirPods pros fit snuggly and comfortably, but noise cancellation works great! With the poor fit of the stock silicone buds I wasn't able to notice ANY noise cancellation. In fact, I thought the AirPods were defective, based upon the reviews that spoke of how GREAT the noise cancellation feature was.

My modification was to use the yellow foam earplugs that many gyms give out for free. I think they cost about 25 cents each. The procedure is as follows:

1. Cut a 3mm piece off of the foam earplug
2. Punch out a small circle in the middle, about 2-3mm. If you can't find a punch, just use a hobby knife or scalpel, it doesn't need to be perfect. I added a slight bevel to the cut, to better fit around the tube
3. Remove about 15 or 20 degrees from your donut with two sharp cuts
4. Fold the small stock silicone earpieces up, to expose the actual tube that transmits the sound
5. Place the donut around the tube near the top
6. Fold the silicone down over the yellow foam

The first one took about 30 minutes to figure things out, the second one took about 5 minutes. So easy! The small foam is essentially invisible and does not interfere with putting the AirPods in their case, whatsoever. I included 2 pics of my first attempt, which was too wide and didn't fit. You really don't need much foam to make it work. You can do this!
So far seem very durable.

You're correct, I am right. All you have are assumptions, no facts.

By your logic, Apple is taking advantage of all of us.

No company is taking advantage. It's called capitalism, you have the choice to buy or not to buy. The company isn't forcing you, just like Apple and every company out there.

We pay the Premium for AirPods Pro. You really think AirPods Pro is worth $250? Material wise, it's worth much less, so again by your logic we're all being taken advantage of and you're justifying it in your own assumptive ways....OR it is a Premium Product so you pay the Premium for it.

I will gladly pay the premium to have a better fitting ear tips, because these silicone ones suck. You have the option not to buy them and that's fine, but to give your opinion on something you don't own or tried is worthless.

The way you opened your response says you’ve already made up your mind and taking this too personally. So there’s no point in trying to reason with you.

Just received the Charjens. They are terrible. Bigger ones are too big and smaller ones are too small. Not even close to enough actual foam on both.

Okay,.. and again,.. how is the sound. Any difference?

Could not get them to stay in ear so I couldn't; tell you. I need to return them. Quality does not come close to comply tips in general. They look and feel as if I made them in my garage and that is not a complement.

I'll try this out. Thank you very much for the detailed instructions!

My Charjen’s finally arrived today and I’m pretty impressed, I can get a decent fit with both sizes and I used the larger ones out on a run and they felt solid throughout. I’d say music wise there’s no noticeable difference but the noise cancelling is better, I also didn’t notice my footsteps as much. I’ve been a long time Comply user and I’d say the materials are on a par but maybe a little thinner.

I can't emphasize what a difference it makes. You will love the improvement and will still have the $50 in your pocket that other contributors are lamenting lost on crappy tips ;o) JK!
