I don't have a lot of experience with memory phone ear tips, so what do you guys not like about the CharJens? I have mine and they seem to work well - they're comfortable in my ears and don't start sliding out like the stock silicone tips. I did order the Comply tips since everyone says great things about them, but I'm curious as to what you find lacking in the CharJens.

The problem I have with them is the foam ratio. These memory foam tips are basically hard plastic on the inside surrounded by memory foam. What you want is the hard plastic to as thin and as minimal as possible with a large amount of compressible foam so that you can make it very thin, insert in ear and it expands greatly forming a seal. The amount of compressible foam is very little so you can't really get them that thin to put them in the ear. Even though you can get them to fit in ear once they expand there isn't enough foam to expand to get a nice tight seal.

For the large ones the plastic is too big to get into some ears so even fully compressed they are simply still too big.

Good Foam tips:

Starts out this big: ----- (100%) Compress them to : -- (40%) Expand back to: ----- (100%)

Charjens:

Starts out this big: ----- (100%) Compress them to : ---- (80%) Expand back to: ----- (100%)

You also want them very spongy and the Charjens are more mushy

Has anyone from the UK received the Charjen's yet? I get worldwide delivery times but have had several items arrive from China in less time so concerned these have got lost in the post.

I have not and neither has anyone else I've spoken to on here.

I am starting to think they've been quarantined in the US.

Ok, I bought the large Dekoni and they arrived today. They didn't look very substantial and looked smaller than the stock silicone Large tips from Apple. No clue how they will hold up over time but first impressions are good.

They hold in the ear so much better than the silicone from Apple. I fly with my AirPods Pro (not during the covid scare) regularly and that is what attracted me to the APP. Small package, decent sound, and total convenience. My only issue with them (besides software etc) is the silicone worked it's way out of a good seal. I've never had issues with them falling out, but that i would have to readjust during a flight or thru the airport to regain a good seal.

This Dekoni def grab in the ear considerably better. They do still appear smaller than the silicone but for very good. I've been wearing them for an hour around the house and haven't had to "re-seal" them yet. Just feel very comfortable and stuck right where I want them.

Sound, i will need to do some A & B testing as immediate impressions are I simply can't tell a difference between these and silicone sound wise. Bass is decent and still there listening to the masters quality on Tidal.

I quite like them so far. If they hold up decently i would prefer these very much over the stock silicone apple tips.

Any other questions and I'll do what i can to answer

Do you normally use the large silicone tips?

Just received the Charjens. They are terrible. Bigger ones are too big and smaller ones are too small. Not even close to enough actual foam on both.
I just got them today as well, and I guess we will have to agree to disagree . I have had them in for over an hour now. And they are amazing . I don’t feel them. The fit is great. Can’t speak on how lost they will last and will the foam wear , but the fit , the noise cancellations , and the sound is so much better then the silicone ones . Side note: I paired it up with the Damon AirPod covers , which maybe make a difference together. The case closed perfect and also fixed the clicking of the case , doesn’t give it as much play room to the lid.

Just pairs my APPs with the Damon covers and Charjen pro tips and it’s amazing . They don’t move, the sound and noise cancellation got so much better , and a bonus is the clicking of the lid is gone. The case closes just fine , but that little play room is gone . I hated the clicking , felt like the top wasn’t secure . Also keep them in the catalyst silicone case . All three accessories just make for a better experience and also a more secure way of storing them when not in use .

My viewpoint has been relayed by multiple posters already. Glad you are happy with them

I'm enjoying mine too, but I'm looking forward to the Comply tips I ordered. I've heard nothing but great things about that company's products. I expect that I'll be using those full-time once they arrive.

My 2 cents. Apple medium tips fit fine.
- foam masters with the airpod pro adapter is a PITA and not worth the money. Sizing seems to be ok though.
- charjens durometer is too low i.e. too soft to do a good job securing them. They aren’t very tall which also helps secure and isolate. Producing only 2 sizes cuts their costs but I guarantee Apple did plenty of anatomical research. So if they’re doing 3 sizes charjen should too.
- dekoni durometer about right but they seem to run small. got mediums but they dont isolate or secure in ear well. Waiting on response from customer service about exchanging for larges.
- hybrid AIrPod Pro stock and comply foam tips have the best sound isolation and fixation. I use Apple medium tip and small comply tip. Added bonus by covering the foam with the stock AirPod tips the foam tips last a long time.

What is "durometer?" The Dekoni model are called bullets. They do appear smaller than they fit. I am a large (for a good seal even though the fit test says mediums work with Apple silicones) for Apple and that is what i bought from Dekoni. They look smaller but for perfect. If these last very long at all, I will order more. I'm totally satisfied. I cannot tell yet if they isolate on planes any better than the silicone, for obvious reasons (no flying) but i know they stay put in the ear and isolate great when trying noise at home. Bass and clarity are still there.

How do u make the comply work with medium Apple? Is some modding needed? I thought the small apple were the best fit for me but find they still don’t seal. This is frustrating. Totally not “pro”. Come on Apple.

Ordered comply... sucks that they won’t ship until the 31st. I am currently using the eBay ones and my left ear still slips a bit and feels loose because the small is a little too big.... I’m hoping the comply with the cone shape will stick in there better.

The Comply tips initially said they’d ship on the 31st, then changed to the 18th when I ordered them. Now they’re back to shipping on the 31st.

Apple/foam tip hybrid.

I feel like I’m the only person in the world that this doesn’t help. I’ve tried with different sized foam tips inside both the medium and large apple tips, and they actually fall out faster.

I’ve also tried a couple of the eBay foam tips made specifically for the AirPods Pro, and they don’t work better than the stock tips.

The large size apple tips fit best for me, but the fit could be better.

Same here tbh, tried 2 different foams underneath, alot worse to me vs. only original so I guess Im stuck with that...

Really like the Dekoni tips. They sound great and fit great.

So looking forward to these... I ordered them last week and the package arrived today. Instead of the AirPods Pro tips in size M, I get Mercury bulletz size S. Mind you, it was from a reseller, but how in the world does that happen?

Sucks. Sorry about that. I don't think you will be disappointed with the quality once you get the right size. Hope the last a decent amount of time and I'll reorder a 3 pack. Only bought 1 pair to try the first time. Totally satisfied
