So from the people who already tried them out, is it really safe to say they perform better than the wired EarPods? I don't want the same thing again but without wires!

Loving sound quality, better to me than air pods. No more wires thank god

First impressions are very good. The charging case is a perfect size

Definitely better than the EarPods. More clarity and bass. In my opinion...

Without question

Won't touch my wired onces again if I can help it. Syncs perfectly as well

It's to the point where not sure I would need to listen to air pods on full volume

Yes. Way better.

All those people saying they would fall out are going to look ridiculous soon. They ain't going anywhere, end of. Just amazing.

Loads better! Personally I think there is a massive improvement!

One thing I'm surprised why the battery % isn't with the Apple Watch and iPhone % widget. Thought it would be

Can someone confirm this for me:

1) Pair your AirPods to your iPhone
2) Put the AirPods back into the case and close the case
3) Put your iPhone away from your case
4) Bring another iPhone that hasn't been previously paired with AirPods
5) Check whether opening the case opens the pairing dialog on that iPhone

I just want to make sure opening my AirPods in a train or flight or any crowded area would not trigger the pairing dialog box on other people's iPhone!

Yeah i second that. The sound quality is much better than expected. Lots of bass, very clear. I had a phone call that pinged up pn my watch and i did a handoff straight to my AirPods. Worked really well

This should answer your question.

Don't worry, people can't steal the connection. AirPods and iPhone have to be within 2 inches and even then you have to 'give them away' to a new user.

The Bluetooth connection is incredible, left phone in house walked up the drive and was still there

got them! delivered at 9.14 but my wife also picked some up in store! they had LOADS in Brighton!

Testing them out in the wild!

Sound quality is great and miles above the included earpods.

Thanks for your reply.

How does it work? do you use the dial? do you need to download an app?
No nothing like that. All my music is on my phone and streams to my watch and i used the built in music app on my watch to select music and the volume control and/or the crown on my watch to control the volume for my EarPods. With the AirPods its just the same. It just seems to work. No configuration required.

When i got a call on my watch, the music cut out and i was able to hand off the call from my watch straight to my AirPods. It all works seamlessly

Whilst I assume they're not 100% noise cancelling do they cut out some of the outside noise a bit, wondering if they're good to use on public transport on my commute to work.
