AirPods UK Order Thread

battery seems to be spot on, 3/4 volume loudness (music and movie and one 15 minute call) and a 2.5 hour commute and battery is showing as 64%!

Totally 100% agree. Just did a sort of blind test with partner and old EarPods (bit tricky not letting wire give it away-took a few goes). They are much better. Nice and loud too.

Something to look forward to is if the company Earskinz make a rubber tip for them (look at Amazon at their products). I used them on old EarPods and they create a bit of a seal/block out external noise-really increase bass too.

I also tested the connection. Left my phone and AirPods in the rooms furthest apart and no drop-outs, nothing. The W1 chip is pretty good...

I wonder what the drop range is? could you go down stairs and make a coffee while leaving your phone upstairs? for example.

Works as if your phone is right next to you

My phone was in kitchen and went to the furthest room upstairs and was perfect connection

Also, I've just checked my account and I've not been charged for them yet... has anyone not had the money taken from their account but the item's been delivered. Even my "available balance" which usually shows pending transactions and pre-auths doesn't show a debit ...
 
Just got my Airpods here in Scotland via DPD. Anyone else having problems with double-tapping? I can't seem to get any response when I try - have set it to stop\pause as well as initiating Siri, but no luck - maybe I should try re-connecting?

It takes quite a forceful tap to be honest.

Just arrived here in Sunderland, UK! The Boomf marshmallow box I got for my mam's birthday today provided a cool looking pedestal.

The box is a lot smaller than I was expecting.

Me neither. UK customer. Having said that, something similar happened with my Apple Watch-trust me, we'll get charged eventually.
 
My UK Mail driver is making good time - up to 74 already (I'm 98). Hopefully they'll be here a little before the 16.00-17.00 window...

Loving the pictures & the reviews from those who've got them already!

Just tested them out, wow i cant believe how easy these things are to pair with an iPhone and then with the Mac and iPad, the sound quality is better than the EarPods and the range is just brilliant, i have left my phone upstairs and went downstairs to make a coffee, with both AirPods in my ears listening to music, they didn't distort to cut out at all. Also Siri still works well even at that range.

I really think people have underestimated these, Apple have done a brilliant job!

and i think this is why the delay from apple was worth it.

They got it spot on

They really have. The hate pre sale was a bit strong.

"The price"-actually inline with TRUE WIRELESS alternatives. The £ for $ match is a little galling though.
"Look weird"- look the same as EarPods minus wires, what's the big deal.
"Sound crap"- NO THEY DONT. They actually sound better and louder then EarPods.

If you own an Apple Watch-the set up is super sweet for volume control etc.

Those of you who haven't yet got charged don't think you won't. You will at some point. I had a similar experience with an Apple order in the past and they charged me after I had the product delivered.
