Is anyone else finding that the preference of what double tapping does (e.g. Siri or Play/Pause) is not syncing between devices?

(May be a feature rather than a fault, I suppose some people might prefer it to be different on each device.)

So
No nothing like that. All my music is on my phone and streams to my watch and i used the built in music app on my watch to select music and the volume control and/or the crown on my watch to control the volume for my EarPods. With the AirPods its just the same. It just seems to work. No configuration required.

When i got a call on my watch, the music cut out and i was able to hand off the call from my watch straight to my AirPods. It all works seamlessly

So you just turn the crown without having to be in a specific app?
How do you hand off the call from your apple watch?
I thought that while wearing the AirPods, hitting reply on the apple watch and/or iPhone, would make phone call go straight to your AirPods without having to hand it off...

This should answer your question.

Don't worry, people can't steal the connection. AirPods and iPhone have to be within 2 inches and even then you have to 'give them away' to a new user.

What do you mean by the last part? Suppose I am on an Airplane and someone sitting next to me has an iPhone and I open my case, it will show that dialog box on their iPhone. What will happen when they press 'Connect'? If someone sitting next to me can connect to my AirPods then that's a big flaw.

You have to be in the app to use the crown as a volume control but thats not an issue as its so quick and easy.
When my watch rang, a green handoff button appeared on my watch screen and i just pressed it and the call transferred straight to the Pods. If i take the pods out of my ears, it disengages them and the call remains with my watch or i can hand off to my phone

Thanks, can't wait for mine!
The noise cancelling is better than the EarPods. Not perfect but a lot better

The "not your AirPods" menu will only appear when you aren't using the AirPods, it seems.

Even so, you have to be literally two inches of clear air away. Sitting next to someone isn't enough - it won't go through your jeans for example. Can't happen.

Well I'm very impressed with them super convenient they pair straight away they are so comfortable didnt budge 1 bit on my run, never missed a beat they sound better than the regular pods I'm no audiophile but they sound excellent, the sound is definitely lower at top volume connected direct to the nike Apple Watch which I'm Not overkeen on ,call quality is superb like I say very very convenient and totally wireless and for me a great product well done Apple

Nope, doesn't work like that it seems. I put my AirPods case 10 cm away, still opens the dialog on my iPhone. 20cm away, same. It doesn't work when the range is over 30cm though.

Well, the instruction guide says 2 inches and for me it is 2 inches. It certainly won't work from 10 or 20 cm away for me.

Remember the distance requirements for the charge status and the pairing facility may be different. Just because the charge status shows up from 20 cm away doesn't mean the pair request will.

Sorry to hijack this conversation but I just happened to be watching a video showing this. After you click 'connect' you are greeted with this screen:

So you would have to allow the connection.

Just done a 5 mile run with the pods, super convenient just put in ear and go ,volume is a lot lower connected to the Apple Watch Nike than the phone, they never missed a beat they sound excellent well to my ears anyway

Does anyone know if this is normal behaviour (watch volume being a lot lower), or if it is a setting that can be changed.

Thank you. That's what I meant by 'give them away'. I couldn't get a screenshot as I didn't want to unpair mine. Sorry for not being clearer.

Between 14:21 and 15:21... I was planning on going out at half three, so almost guaranteed now they'll be late

Oh well, I'm quite excited! Popping my PowerBeats 2 wireless on eBay this afternoon...

Good news: Mine have arrived :)
Bad News: I was on the phone with a customer and my wife answered the door and has hidden them so I definitely won't get them before Christmas :(

I could have sworn I saw a sort of diagram of a truck with my driver's delivery status on the UK Mail tracker, but now I can't get it to show up. Any ideas?

Definitely better than the EarPods. More clarity and bass. In my opinion...

Totally 100% agree. Just did a sort of blind test with partner and old EarPods (bit tricky not letting wire give it away-took a few goes). They are much better. Nice and loud too.

Something to look forward to is if the company Earskinz make a rubber tip for them (look at Amazon at their products). I used them on old EarPods and they create a bit of a seal/block out external noise-really increase bass too.

Very happy customer.

Very useful.

With both pods in the ears, is the conversation clearer because more microphones are active?
