Well I'm reluctantly coming to the conclusion that I won't be getting mine today given that they've been sitting in DPD's Southwark depot "ready for delivery" since 5.45am today. Delivery is to a business address so if they don't start moving soon then I'm guessing it ain't gonna happen...

Sigh... just been texted to say that they couldn't deliver because "no-one was in". At a global investment bank where the reception is staffed 24 hours a day. Annoyingly in the handover from Apple to DPD they've lost the company name from the address and given there are several companies in the same building I'm not holding out a lot of hope for tomorrow...

change the delivery to one of the DPD drop off points; pick somewhere like a Halfords open until 8pm. Problem solved. You will have to go get them but they will be waiting for you.
[doublepost=1482186403][/doublepost]So I noticed that the quick charge USB in car charger doesn't charge the case but charged my iphone....

No idea why. I ended up swapping the USB cable to a non quick charge port (which will charge the phone slower) but at least if I need to charge them AirPods I can now.

Very happy with them so far!

Got myself an extra lighting dock for the hall stand so they have a nice little home to charge up in over night...

I've plugged mine in and it doesn't show the case as charging? Do I have a faulty case? Anyone else seen this?

Just a guess here but I'd imagine the AirPods would charge to 100% first them the case would begin charging

In case anyone wondered, you can use two sets of AirPods on one iCloud account quite comfortably. Yes, I'm a terrible human for trying. But still, it works. :p

I noticed one thing, which is that the case loses battery on standby quite fast. Charged it to 100% and it was at 96% after 6 hours.

It could either be the AirPods losing charge faster on standby and the case charging it thus losing battery, or the case itself losing battery faster on standby.

This is a really nice setup! Now I just need to justify the £39 white Lightning Dock to put next to the black one I already have, just for the sake of matching + a 2 meter Lightning cable to get it to fit where I need it. Hmmmm tempting :)

Potentially something apple could fix by updating W1 firmware? Hopefully

They really are quite magical! They just fit so well and are so light that it feels like you don't have anything in your ear.

When they are in the case do they always charge to 100% and then the case turns off? Or does the case lid have to be open for them to charge?

They charge with the case closed as well

They seem to be selling out really fast, it would be interesting to see how many units Apple have sold!

Some people in another thread seem to say that they order online now and it shows a Feb delivery date but then they start getting emails saying preparing for shipment etc.

Local store says no pick up availability until 6th February? Yet everywhere reporting that Stores have "plenty of stock?" I find it very hard to believe I couldn't walk into an Apple Store and pick these up before February 6th.
