Probably worth keeping checking for a bit, a few people reported on other threads seeing stock appear between this sort of time and lunchtime other days this week.

Back in stock at Carphone Warehouse for Delivery Friday
fwiw, I ordered a pair from CPW, next day delivery, only to get an email telling me they were out of stock and would be dispatched within 2 weeks.

Don't know why I expected anything better from Carphone Warehouse to be honest. Never had anything but negative experiences with them.

Thankfully managed to pick up a pair in the Liverpool Apple Store first thing this morning.

Any idea how many they had, toffee? Have been checking istocknow but Liverpool has never shown as having any at all today...

No idea if it applies to every store, but I reserved some online to pick up from Birmingham yesterday, and asked the chap if they had any more in etc, he said they got some that morning, and people brought them before they marked the stock that was delivered as available - so i guess if someone buys all the stuff that's delivered first thing in the morning, it won't show on the site.

No idea if this is how it works, or if he was just being nice and making something up to explain it, but could explain why people are buying from stores that don't show as having stock online.

He was essentially correct. What happens is not all of the stock is shown for online pickup. This is to avoid the situation where someone buys an item in store at the same instant someone buys online, thus selling the same item twice.

Arghh. Got my Airpods from CPW today and they are nice. However, I'm still on iOS 9 to keep my jailbreak and some of the fancy stuff like checking the case battery doesn't work.

Gonna give them a run out in the gym later and if I decide to keep them I'm going to have to update my OS. Tbf I've wanted watch OS3 for a while too.

Not sure if posted but Curry's now have these in stock for delivery tomorrow (free) at £143.10 using the code on the page.

I had mine on order from Apple but they actually charged me £159.00 and not the unidays price I ordered at. When I called to enquire, they insisted AirPods were never available at that price and said send evidence via the feedback form online. Er, no. But that's okay, I'll return those and buy from Curry's for less. I had a spare £50 Curry's gift card anyway..
That's strange, I ordered mine through UNiDAYS and was charged at the discounted price (£142.80).

The discount was given in error for a short time and was removed, but was honoured for (most) of those who got it.

Strange. Either way, CS and then management insisted to me on the phone that AirPods aren't part of the UNiDAYS discount and that is not possible for it to have been available with discount. I explained I think it was available in error but they weren't having it. I know it was and it definitely said the discounted price at checkout.

Anyway, I just picked up the AirPods from Curry's that I ordered yesterday while they had 10% off, so they definitely are getting stock in.

Very poor experience with Apple today. Reserved one pair this afternoon using the App for collection at Liverpool. 2 hours later without any news checked online order status and said Cancelled.

Rang them to be told initially that it had been cancelled by me online as I had changed my mind. They did some more digging then said must have been computer error. Very annoyed and not heard of this with Apple before.

Same thing happened to me, rang customer services and they said that the reason for cancelling was that there was no stock: reading between the lines I reckon they sold all the available ones in the store before they got round to picking the ones for the online reservations from the available stock.

Sorry to hear that. On the one hand, you should consider the order provisional until you see "ready to pick up". On the other hand, not to be called to be told it was cancelled is unacceptable.
