Local store says no pick up availability until 6th February? Yet everywhere reporting that Stores have "plenty of stock?" I find it very hard to believe I couldn't walk into an Apple Store and pick these up before February 6th.

It was the same with the new MacBook Pro. Stores were getting very limited stock, so it wasn't showing as available online, yet if you went in, many stores had laptops available to sell, so I guess there's some sort of minimum stock number before it pops up online?

At the moment, they are available for Pickup at the Leeds and Liverpool store today on the Apple site.

Edit - and they went after about 10 minutes. Interestingly, I spent about 20 minutes watching Istocknow to see if any showed up in Birmingham near me, and stock was showing up across the country (Bristol, London, Cambridge, Newcastle, Bath, Watford) across random intervals.

New stock appears to have stopped showing up now, so I reckon they must get a delivery in the morning and it takes a few hours for each stores inventory to show up online.

Anyone desperate for a pair, it might be worth checking Istocknow tomorrow during 10/11am.

Not sure if posted but Curry's now have these in stock for delivery tomorrow (free) at £143.10 using the code on the page.

I had mine on order from Apple but they actually charged me £159.00 and not the unidays price I ordered at. When I called to enquire, they insisted AirPods were never available at that price and said send evidence via the feedback form online. Er, no. But that's okay, I'll return those and buy from Curry's for less. I had a spare £50 Curry's gift card anyway..

I don't mind sending you my invoice if you want to prove it to them that there was a discounted price

That'd be great, thank you. If for any reason the order from Curry's doesn't turn up then I can send that to Apple along with some posts from MR of people buying at the lower price when it went live.

People ordering from PC World - don't hold you're breath. They've listed one in stock for a while now despite people clearly ordering.

Hopefully it's just an indication of one per person, but I've had them not deliver on me before despite saying they had stock.

And John Lewis normally has stock before PC World, and they haven't.

Walked in to the Apple Store in Leeds on the off chance they might have a demo set to look at, 10 minutes later walked out with a new paid of Airpods.

The case is alot smaller than I thought it would be, the headphones have done well with a specific techno set I use to gauge headphones. I'm happy with performance, so tomorrow will be returning my Powerbeats 3 for a refund.

I would take that further tbh because that's an outright lie.

Got mine at Apple Store Cardiff this morning. Managed to order through the store app for pickup. They showed up at 10:45, so for a store that opens at 9:30 it seems delivery lands within the first hour of trade. Im sure they can get deliveries in the afternoon also as Ive seen crates of iPhones being brought out in the afternoon on launch week. Bristol stores also received stock as they showed as available for pickup briefly around 10am.

Worth noting: I ordered through the website last night with a delivery of February, and when I called a store yesterday they said they're not expecting them until Feb either, which tells me they're just seeing the same dates as the website and stock shows up on delivery as and when, with no prior warning.

I ordered two pairs; great Christmas gift. One for my dad and one for my gf. Just need to find something for my brother as my mum wants perfume. I love my own AirPods.

It was only working for about an hour, then the education discount was removed and has not been put back. Same in retail stores so it seems permanent.
