Just had an email from pc world / currys and they say they have stock. I don't need any but thought I would let you all know.

Yep, i ordered mine about half an hour ago from John Lewis. I had signed up for stock notification email but didn't receive one, i just happen to be checking stores - a lot!

I have tried the JL email notification in the past for Apple products. Useless. Got an email days after I had
already bought the item at the nearby Apple store!

Just received mine today :)
Excellent! I received mine on Saturday. Are you pleased with them? I am so far, though the double tap seems a bit & miss. Also looking forward to running with them on Friday. I have ordered a Spigen strap from Amazon to hopefully keep them from getting lost!

Am tempted to have a wander up to the Edinburgh store at lunchtime to see if they have any available...

[doublepost=1483538804][/doublepost]Very.co.uk are saying they have stock for delivery on Friday so have just placed an order. My first time using their site. I'm half expecting for the order to be cancelled, or to receive an email saying "Sorry, we can't deliver these by Friday"

Thanks! Have just ordered a pair, says they'll deliver by Monday. Like you, I'm sceptical!

Apple Store in Edinburgh don't have any in today but are expecting to get a reasonable sized order imminently so definitely worth checking in with them each day.

I can't even find them listed on very.co.uk at all and JL are still out of stock, as are Currys/PC World.

I guess you just have to be really lucky on the timing.

I see the Apple Store expected stock date has been pushed back another week already, now quoting 17th February for all of the stores within 100 miles of me

UK got serious stock in the Christmas period (given the global shortage).

From what we saw in the US yesterday can hope for an euro refill this week, but stocks are now very dry.

Just a heads up, Tekshop247 claim to have 4 pairs of AirPods left (was 5 but I've taken a punt to see what happens. Apparently my order had been dispatched less than half an hour after placing it so we'll see. That's good going if accurate, there supposed to be here tomorrow.)

They are a bit over the retail price at £182, but I thought what the hell, just over £20 or wait 6 weeks, I'll pay £20 at least they're not like the eBay scalpers.

Here's the link

My order hasn't moved yet, just showing as processing with their supplier as at yesterday afternoon.

I'm not totally surprised, I'll say this upfront that I'm dead against the over the top scalping that's rife on eBay and Amazon. But I was chatting to one of them and over the past couple of weeks he's had well over a dozen pairs from Very so far. Which he's then selling on eBay for £80+ profit a pair. That's a lot of cash made off poor desperate Apple fans.

There should be a limit imposed by these companies. I'm not saying one pair a person, but do they really think one person needs dozens of pairs for themselves. They must have at least an idea of what's going on.

I know that they won't care, they're getting their money and that's all that matters to them. But they'd still get that money by limiting the amount an individual can buy because there's plenty more people who'd snap up the slack.

Obviously the scalpers are happy, they've effectively got a drop warehouse in the form of Very which they can profit from as long as people are prepared to pay well over the odds.

It's why I won't order from Very, even if they could give me a pair today. They are encouraging, supporting and profiting by proxy from supporting scalpers. Bad form mr and mrs Very.

How is this any different to buying 10 pairs from the John Lewis website?

It's not any different than buying them anywhere, I just think it's a little excessive regardless of where it's bought. There are places that limit the quantity you can buy of any massively in-demand items, for the sake of fairness to their customers.

Logged in to check and delivery date has slipped to the 20th January, so they're just a bunch of chancers. Order cancelled...

Yep mine too. I thought this could happen. I'm cancelling and will stick with my original Apple order. I'll be in central London on Saturday morning so may try my luck at John Lewis and Apple Regent Street.

Just thought I'd do a quick update on what I posted earlier.

My order seems to be panning out well so far, just had an email (and update in the UPS app) that my AirPods are on their way.

Surprisingly, they left Rotterdam at 20:01 (I expected them to come from the U.K but who's complaining :D) and they are scheduled to arrive around lunchtime tomorrow.

Getting excited :D glad I decided to take a chance on a company I'd never heard of before (after some background checks of course.)

well, that sucks...I live close to Rotterdam, but there is no store here in The Netherlands with any stock of the AirPods. Not many options (stores) here either like you have in UK :/
PS: Interesting profile name!

That is weird, this parcel better not end up being some other random thing I've ordered and forgotten about, which is always possible when you're on the medication I am :D

Well whatever it is, it's in Germany now so it's still progressing nicely.

Just got an email from Pc World/Currys to say they have AirPods in stock. Probably won't last long.
