So… from your own data “majority” is 41%. Got it.There's nothing magical about $999 - we're well past that psychological threshold. The majority of consumers buy Pro Max ($1,099 or $1,199) or the regular model ($799).

Foldables are not ready for Apple prime time yet. Foldables is a niche. Apple is not a niche company, except arguably the Mac Pro (which is more or less kept for nostalgic reasons at this point). Apple is mainstream luxury, not niche. I’m still not convinced foldables will ever reach the point where it’s mainstream enough for Apple. But it’s a very smart move to make a super thin device which can be the bearer of tech that could be used for a foldable if it ever does reach that level of public interest. What if this is actually a foldable? Would need to be as thin as possible to fit comfortably in the pocket. I feel like most people don’t want a foldable but Apple is missing out on the ones who do and Apple will most likely be the ones that get it right..
I want a large phone for the battery, but I want it lighter and pro motion is a must. The plus would be that phone if it had pro motion.
So the slim iPhone 17 will be first new design since the 2019's iPhone 11. (The iPhone 16 is really the iPhone 11sssss.) That is Tim Cook-style innovation.Pu expects the slim iPhone 17 model to have a noticeable new design compared to previous iPhone models.
In this case it's an iPhone SE with less camera and less battery life.Slimmer Apple product with fewer features and a higher price? Where have I seen that before?

It is for me. I don’t care about the camera much and a single camera will keep the size and weight down. Will be an interesting iPhone. Single rear camera is not very enticing though.
You’re sitting on it wrong!in my head i've bent mine already 🤩
Because the SE4 would be affordable and the "Air" premium priced.crazy why not just merge the se4 with air ?
I still believe the pixel style is what’s coming.I really was tempted to get this when the phone had two camera lenses in a similar fashion to the Google Pixel. and the specs where much better than the latest rumours.
The phone now feels like a glorified & pricey SE with plenty of trade offs at a higher cost.
I agree. This seems like a very odd decision. Hasn’t Apple been pushing the ability to record videos for the Vision Pro? You can’t do that with just one lens. Why would they release a budget phone with just one lens then? Really strange. It almost feels like they're trying some kind of refreshed design, kind of like iPhone X at the time, but also weird that it'll be below the Pro in terms of specs.
Something very odd about it, especially having just a single camera.
That would be interesting but you’d think if this were a foldable there would be rumors on that already.I'm dying on the foldable hill here. Not saying I want it, but the product as described just doesn't make sense. How do you fit an adequate battery in something this thin unless it was only half the battery for the device?
It’s almost like cell phones are a mostly mature platform these days. Until the last of the kinks with foldables are ironed out most phones are going to be same variation of “glass and metal slab with screen” in the vein of the 16 et al. Even this is going to be a refinement of that, and people like you will complainSo the slim iPhone 17 will be first new design since the 2019's iPhone 11. How could air 17 be premium with single camera?Because the SE4 would be affordable and the "Air" premium priced.
Might have the mechanical aperture we’ve also been seeing rumors aboutHow could air 17 be premium with single camera?
