Surely the computer you’ve initiated the backup from?!

The message pops up when I put the iPhone on its charger.
I do not know at the time if the Mac has initiated the sync or not as it is in another room.

I would have to go back to the Mac, wait for the "cannot initiate sync because the device is protected with a passcode" message to appear and then manually click sync again.

That is a a hassle and it is supposed to be easy.

But that means you’ve already physically plugged your phone into your Mac and ticked the ‘sync over WiFi’ option.

So... why does it keep asking me to trust the same computer if it is the same computer all along?
Because there was a security flaw when you didn’t have to trust and authenticate each time you initiated a backup. This is the fix to that.

Hi, the alert message appears when you back up your device. So every time there is a backup, the message will appear by default due to privacy concerns.
