You upgraded from an iPhone 13pro to an iPhone 15pro. Sadly, phones these days are simply incremental improvements. Most people would be jumping to an iPhone 15pro from an iPhone 11 or an iPhone X, where improvements can be greatly seen.

I noticed you also complain a lot about phones too :( My opinion: If the phone is too hot or physically unusable, contact Apple for a replacement.

There's a reason they say "never change a working system".
Yup, the screen lag when typing texts on the 15PM for me is utterly horrific. It’s gone from being a pleasure on the 13PM to a hassle on the new one and Apple won’t help, I’ve tried. The camera is also trash compared to the 13PM. Everyone has their opinion but I am of the firm view this phone is a nowhere near as pleasant to use as the 13 series. Hope the 16 is a solid entry

I think what you’re describing is a particularly buggy iOS 17. The hardware is incredible, all things considered.

My favorite videographer recently posted this and it’s quite impressive.

what I think is really strange is after reading all these posts - I have had none of these issues on my 15PM that I got on release day. I don’t think I’m alone on that experience. As for troubleshooting, that might point toward something other than hardware and OS.

Given the circumstances that the most likely explanation is that there are software glitches that they haven't worked out. This happens all the time and it's not always predictable who has problems with the new OS releases. Usually it's the older phones that suffer and everyone gets worked up because they think it's Apple intentionally pushing them to upgrade. Few people understand how mind-numbingly complex modern software is.

There's probably a component of this that is what apps you're using or what settings you've got on your phone. If you have few apps and mostly stick to default phone options, you're less likely to have any issues.

I actually love the phone itself, but some of the changes with the software updates have been really frustrating. A lot of it for me is with texting/talk to text/receiving photos in texts, etc. Definitely annoying, although I’m certain I would have had the same complaints even if I still had my 14 pro.

The night time camera absolutely blows compared to the 13PM camera. Went out and recorded a rocket launch recently at night and the 15PM video is blurry and utter garbage, the 13 was crisp, clear and looked great. I’m leaning towards the 15 being a misfire for sure, wish I kept my 13.
My 15PM is easily better at night than the 13PM was... impressively better. Maybe you got a duff camera?

Yes! Most likely you are the only one.

No issues with my 15 pro max, I have two of them & they both are fantastic. Maybe just issues with the small iPhone.

Yeah. People are saying things in here that are objectively false because they're upset with the phone.

iphones have been getting progressively ******** for years. 15 pro is so ugly and literally everyone who sees it tells me that. i’ve never had so many people laugh and say “that’s the new iphone????”

it overheats like a ************, the camera still sucks, ios17 has tons of bugs. I’m still gonna keep buying iphone because I like the ecosystem but damn apple is losing their touch

Looks like autocorrect also broke on your iPhone. 😅 Gosh there is a lot wrong with it! Sad times. 😉

Have to admit I do wish I hadn't changed from my 13PM to the 15P. Very underwhelming - tempted to sell and go back to the 13PM tbh.

Ok… no one is walking around saying a phone is ugly unless they’re a child who knows nothing. If the 15 Pro is ugly, so is everything since the 11?!

Camera doesn’t suck, you’ve either got a defective device or don’t know how to use it. There’s plenty of proof on this very forum, from photographers on YouTube who use iPhones as secondary cameras etc that show it’s a great photo taking device in the right hands.

Overheats? You’re in the minority and again, likely now a defective unit as the software update and app updates have made this non existent for all but a small percentage.

Apple get bad press and things blown out of all proportion in the media because of who they are, and the popularity of the brand, they’re still the best option in terms of hardware/support and software that works as it should.

Take your device into Apple if all you claim is happening, should be easy to replicate and they’ll swap it out or fix it.

Likewise; I wish I’d stayed with my 13 mini rather than upgrading to a 15. Oh well, it’s still very nice phone. The grass is always greener.

Yes. Pretty much exactly that. Mini ergonomics were next-level and I won’t let hope of Apple someday releasing another truly-compact device die.
Makes sense. My hands are big so the Pro Max is just about comfortable. Doesn't fit in my jeans pockets comfortably, though, which is very annoying...
