Amazon is following the model established by most of the other major services. We have a choice for ads or no ads. Apple TV will soon follow.
😂 This is true. Here is the thing though: Very few of you commenting actually watch Amazon Prime Video anyway (because it’s terrible). So ads or no ads… you won’t notice. 😂
Bit of a daft comment. THere's plenty on there to watch with some good original shows. There's also a lot of UK specific content available in the UK market, so it's nonsense to suggest it's terrible. Here is the thing though: Very few of you commenting actually watch Amazon Prime Video anyway (because it’s terrible). Now, I agree with you that there is a lot of bad quality stuff on Amazon, but how is this being rammed down our throats?Quality of products also way down with Amazon. So much Chinese **** being rammed down our throats.
Amazon used to be great. Now its just *********. Prime Video has always been average.
Prime also has bad quality streaming, in my opinion.Honestly. there's so little good stuff on Amazon Prime and it's so hard to find with the awful UI anyway that it'll just be easier to pirate shows I want to watch rather then have to battle with ads on top. Amazon gets more than enough money from me for Prime, Business Prime and an average of about 2 orders a day. If that's not enough for them then so be it
I’m going to say this is absolute lie. There will be more ads and interruption than linear tv in long run to encourage users to sign up for ad free option.Prime Video will soon feature "limited advertisements" starting on January 29, 2024. The company assured users that Prime Video will have "meaningfully fewer ads than linear TV and other streaming TV providers."
Don’t be so harsh. Mr. Bezos really needs the (extra) money. Those yachts and private jets are not for free…
You're probably right. YouTube is nigh-unwatchable with ads and it seems to be the same few over and over.I’m going to say this is absolute lie. There will be more ads and interruption than linear tv in long run to encourage users to sign up for ad free option.
I wouldn't call it terrible, would I pay for JUST it, no. But there are some really good originals. Here is the thing though: Very few of you commenting actually watch Amazon Prime Video anyway (because it’s terrible). So ads or no ads… you won’t notice. 😂
Except that they keep increasing the cost constantly. It was great deal when $99 a year, then $119 (ok not too bad only 20 a year more) then $129, then $139 now another $38. Then the "included" prime music is additional $8 if you want any current music. I guess this was a way to say they are not increasing cost again so we get a warm fuzzy feeling about paying for Prime again this year that we came out good with no increase.I would have just increased the price and kept it ad-free.
It would have been much more elegant.
In the end the result is the same, but this way it looks greedier.
Every other service has increased its cost, so it wcould have been motivated with inflation.
