Threadripper+ has the same memory controller configuration, so the current motherboards should pose no problem.

Wraithripper. Massive!

EPYC is going straight to Zen 2 (sampling this year).

There's a new laptop with Raven Ridge + GTX 1050!

Let Zen 2 have even 5% higher IPC, 12 cores/24 Threads, PCIe 4, AVX512 and clock as high as 5 GHz, and you have something great on your hands.

2-cycle AVX-512 would not be bad already.

What would you prefer? 512-bit EUs or full support?

Sources are claiming that AMD switched the roadmap, and currently Server CPUs from AMD with Zen 2 architecture will have 64 cores, and possibly - chiplets on package.

We can expect then on mainstream platform 16 core Ryzen CPUs, with 32 Threads and higher IPC than Skylake.

Soon we might get some technical details, even.

I say it again, I hope (Ry)Zen 2 will have more PCIe lanes.

And at least 12 cores.

Charlie claims that Zen2 IPC is everywhere between 5 and 12% higher than Skylake/Kaby Lake/Coffee Lake CPUs, while in gaming it may tie or be slightly higher, than Skylake IPC.

Consumer Zen should clock up to 5 GHz, without Overclocking, thanks to 7 nm Process, while maintaining 95W TDP. And yes, that 5 GHz is the new 4 GHz for mainstream CPUs. 7 nm Process can achieve 35% higher clock speeds at the same power as 16 nm. 5 GHz is just 25% increase over 4 GHz, so it is perfectly doable.

Also, expect high clocks on low-power, and mobile parts from Zen2. On bad, GloFo Process 45W CPUs are getting 3.1/3.6 GHz on 6C/12T model.

The structure of CPUs is simple. 4 four core CCX's in each CPU.

What do you guys think about possibility that Rome and Matisse will double the amount of Threads on Ryzen CPUs? ;)

16 core 64 thread CPU? ;)
4 core 16 Thread? ;).

Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX - 32C/64T, 250W TDP, 3.0 base/4.2 Turbo, 1799$.
Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX - 24C/48T, 250W TDP, 3.0 base/4.2 Turbo, 1299$
Ryzen Threadripper 2950X - 16C/32T, 180W TDP, 3.5 base/4.4 Turbo, 899$
Ryzen Threadripper 2920X - 12C/24T, 180W TDP, 3.5 base/4.4 Turbo, 649$.

Don't expect Intel will beat AMD on pricing. This is INSANE value!

to much power for apples thin systems.
