There had been a supposed 2990WX leak of around 6300 when it actually does 5000.
Sure, but the leaker also posted a picture of AMD Threadripper/EPYC CPU heatspreader with AMD ENG SAMPLE written on it ;).

It proves nothing, I have seen that kind of sample image before.

On concrete news, AMD released H mobile parts.

200GE review:

https://www.techspot.com/review/1698-amd-athlon-200ge/

I think it is locked precisely so that OEMs don't have to worry about customers overclocking and burning their systems, as well as reducing the temptation of a hacked BIOS. And perhaps to nudge beginners towards cheap A320 chipsets and 2666MHz RAM (and less risk of self-inflicted problems).

It looks like there would indeed be room for slightly faster models that always beat the Pentiums.

There's a rumor that Intel gave up and dialed back their new process to about 12nm while still calling it 10nm.

I guess that would be more or less equivalent (if not a bit more dense) to TSMC 10nm.

It seems there's an AMD motherboard shortage in China, especially A320 (they have been bundling them with Bristol Ridge).

What about quad core APUs with a minimal GPU for 2D and FreeSync passthrough (I guess it would be nice if every desktop part including Threadripper added that)?

It should of course support 3D rendered GUI elements and charts.

1 CU?

Chiplet candidate.

38 (originally 49) instead of 56 euro :

6 GCN3 CUs instead of 3 Vega CUs in 200GE (A12-9800 has 8 GCN3 CUs).

And 2 Excavator cores instead of 2 Zen cores (somewhat less than half the power).

I think 6 GCN3 CUs would be about equivalent to 4.5 Vega CUs.

So the 200GE would have about the graphics power of the lowest Bristol Ridge APU (4 GCN3). But clocked 25% higher.

If you're going to game on an A320 motherboard, you should make sure to get one where you can somehow lock the CPU clock.

I ordered Gigabyte Aorus B450I Pro WiFi MoBo. It appears that it is best mITX MoBo available for Zen platform...

I see Gigabyte removed the "8"+3 claim they had about some of their B450 boards.

Same for ASRock ;).

B450 mITX from ASRock is 33A/phase 3+2 phase power delivery circuit. Gigabyte B450I Pro is 50A/phase 4+2 phase power delivery Circuit.

Gigabyte has made a mITX MoBo GOAT.

Why GOAT when there are X370 mini ITX boards? [What's the point of X370 there?]

I don't care about "Fusion Drive".

It seems Intel is expanding some chipsets to 22nm to free up 14nm capacity.
It won't affect the capacity, because the H310 chipsets were on hold for production because of capacity constraints for few months, already.

Apple A12 Bionic is 83 mm2, and has 6.9 Bln transistors. It equals to 82 mTR/mm2. All of products that will be built on 7 nm TSMC process, regardless whether it will be HPC or N7 will have this level of density.

To give you perspective. Direct 1:1 shrink of 192 mm2 Ryzen Zeppelin die would be 60 mm2 on N7 process.

That is mind blowing density. Vega 20 has 326 mm2. It equals to over 25 bln transistors! Twice the amount of Vega 10.
