My God some ppl need to be spoon feed for their daily info intake.

The report from Displaymate is the actual display itself, not the final fully assembled display we the consumer look at with all layers of materials we have to pass through with the human eye in real environments.

Be very glad the iPhone has this "low res" screen, otherwise we would have much more performance issues like infamous Touchwiz S-Langs on our SoCs. Totally unnecessary and stupid to have a screen that is pumping 577 ppi when the human eye can not exceed pass 300 ppi. Only Fanroid cares about ultra high specs and don't see the light of custom hardware and software relations for efficiency.
why did the iPhone 6 plus go to 400 ppi?

I've had my 42mm SS Apple watch since April 24 (first shipment day of pre-orders). I wear it every day and take advantage of every feature it has to offer. I love this watch.

It seems like we imagine better Apple products than Apple puts out. I personally was expecting this gorgeous round watch with innovative sensors and features. What we got instead was a Mini iphone 3GS with a wrist strap. Sure, it's the nicest looking watch out there but I expected more from Apple.

Have you tried to walk and open the correct app from the honey comb home screen? Either you launch the wrong app or your tap doesn't register. This layout is not well thought out honestly.

Well first off, I think as far as time-pieces go, Square watches are the most beautiful when fashion is considered (Casio Sport watch style watches should be round, as well as watches that follow the design of the G Watch R. Fashion round watches however, tend to be pretty ugly). I probably wouldn't have been excited as much about the Apple Watch if it had been round.

Secondly, I've had no issues, and I have a 38mm too.

I get it you like square watches. I'm telling you many of us expected more from Apple. they hired all these "experts" and the end product ended up looking like a 80's calculator watch that looks awfully like a shrunken down iPhone 3GS with a "traditional" digital crown that was placed off center awkwardly to make room for a dedicated button for favorites/Apple Pay?

I completely disagree. It looks stunning, and is probably the best looking smartwatch that exists. Round would have been gross.

While I think a square display is more practical for viewing content, a round display is ultimately more sexy.
I suggest you Google the "LG G Watch Urbane". It is by far the best looking smartwatch available.

So because you think the LG is the best looking, that makes it fact? To me the LG looks bulky/far too large.

No matter what direction any company goes, there will always be people who like what they did, and those who would have liked if they did the opposite.

Your expectations of Apple are too high to be honest.

I bought the iphone 6+ thinking Apple would treat it differently in regards to iOS due to more screen real estate. All I got out of it was split screen native apps in landscape mode and goofy keyboard with an icon of actual glue to represent "paste".

Apple makes everything they use in this regard to 3rd party developers.

Also, quit complaining, the iPhone 6+ is far from an iPad.

My initial expectations of the Apple watch was a circular face with all these bio sensors and what did we get instead? A heart rate sensing 80's calculator watch with almost unusable honeycomb home page.

And that was what was realistic and made millions of people like me buy it.

Everything else Apple can add, but they want to reach FDA levels.

Anyone in the whole World making any better?

That's right.

I don't know where that Apple is that we both are fond of..but this isn't the Apple you're looking for.

with that being said Apple still manages to be the best out there which is even more disappointing.

It just seems like we dream bigger about what Apple's products could be than Apple does.

When an iPhone with Micro LED screen is released, I will continue.

This is actually something I wonder as well. Apple themselves, hell, Steve Jobs said that 300dpi is the limit of what our retinas can discern at a reasonable viewing distance, and that 326dpi is "comfortably above" that.

It's confounding that Apple went higher DPI for the iPhone 6+. It's a bigger screen; they should have just upped the pixel count accordingly. Not only is a 400dpi screen more expensive but it takes more CPU/GPU power to drive it. So it's the worst of both worlds for not even a perceptible gain.

I can see a definite discebable difference with the 6 Plus 400 PPI display. I think Apple hit the nail on the head with 6 Plus display. True 1080P native playback too. 400 PPI is the sweet spot. Anything less than 380 PPI and more than 400 PPI is useless. There is no discebable difference in my eyes. I can get as close to the screen as possible and there is absolutely no breakdown with pixels on the 6 Plus. Not the case with the 6. Sony just put a 4K display in a 5.5 inch display. 2K and 4K is just stupid in a mobile display. The 6 Plus has the made the iPad Air 2's text somewhat blurry for me now. I just have to back up from the display on the iPad now. Anyways, just my thoughts on this.

Normal viewing distance where pixels are not discernable for 326 PPI is 10.5 inches. The 6 Plus at 400 PPI is 8.6 inches. Too me that's a substantial improvement.

G Watch R is better looking, in terms of what round watches should be. The round design should stick to the rugged and masculine design. For fashion and beauty, that's when square is better. A better Android wear watch to look at is the original G Watch or either Asus ZenWatch.

Also the Urbane is definitely not the best looking one available. It may be close but as far as round watches go, the G Watch R and Gear S2 are much more appealing, while the Apple Watch is still the best Smartwatch in terms of design (with the Asus ZenWatch coming in a VERY close 2nd)

Simple, economy of scale.
