Been following all the early reviews and the new features are fantastic, but L also looks nicer, better designed and smoother/faster than iOS or WP, while of course having a ton more features and customizability. Its amazing!

Yeah STOCK Android looks great for sure BUT it depends how it translates to other devices.

E.g. I'm a bit nervous about how long LG will take to get it to my G3 and how smooth it will be.

I'm sure Samsung users will be wary too!!

To be honest this is just based on the L preview image, but reviews everywhere are very positive.

Yeah STOCK Android looks great

Just wait till someone like Huawewi crapafies it, or anyone else for that matter and then the lack of control over the final output of apps.

You can say this but there is no control standards over Android or its apps markets and that's the difference to Apple.

I actually agree. iOS has become a buggy shambles, which is amazing since it is meant to be fine tuned to the limited hardware Apple use. Android appears to run a lot nicer on a much wider range of hardware. Its just a shame companies like Samsung ruin it with mods like TouchWiz.

Looks are an opinion so I won't comment on that although you make Android look just the way you like it.

As for smoother and faster, he is partially right. Even Anandtech says so. Read their Android L preview.

There is always bugs with new iOS releases, you just have to wait for things to bed down a little bit, iOS8 is barely new.

Obviously. But nothing compared to what iOS 8 has brought. Its simply shocking and I can only hope 8.1 brings some stability and major bugs fixed.

I would always wait until at least the .1 release before installing anything related to iOS. I agree iOS8 seems a bit rushed to market but the whole "me to" iPhone "plus" seems rushed to market also, so well it is what it is.

What I don't understand is why when there is a whole lot of people out there who are happy with sub 5" phones...

The only thing to remember is that the VAST majority of Android users don't experience 'stock android'...

Thus your conclusion about it being smoother than iOS (whilst clearly made to garner flame responses in a clearly troll bait thread) is utterly moot.

Regardless of which 'nicer looking' is subjective.

Personally speaking all this penis measuring that goes on in this forum is getting quite exasperating.

I'm not sure how saying that Android which is always accused of being lag, is now smooth and fast, is trolling?

And this entire forum/site is subjective opinion, anyone saying 'X looks better than Y' is subjective. What's your point?

it looks amazing!

but i dont know... maybe too white by defaults? when opening a dialer in a dark room, the white, bright, light just goes through your head burning your eyes... i hope there are more options than ... white... for sure you can replace a theme etc, but can you just change that "lots of white" to more grayish?

Great, another 200 page long thread about someone's opinion and all the ensuing arguments with others opinions.

This. I don't know what level of stupidity a developer needs to have to forget that dark places and night time do exist. I always laughed at apples horrible white on off-white color scheme but I guess Google is just as stupid.

I always laughed at Google's choice of "look at us! We are so tech!" tron like designs.
That and the stupid amount of settings they put into every app. I can understand the need to tweak things, but the amount of options are just overwhelming. But, I guess that's their bread and butter.

And, that's your opinion.

Smoother and Faster? Wouldn't that depend mainly on the device.
Nicer looking? Wouldn't that depend on the person's taste.

As great as it is, AOSP components need some updating. ;)

Performance on the nexus 5 has been amazing for me so far and I love the look and little tweaks they've added.
