Maybe because there aren't any 6+'s available for T-Mobile. They don't even have 6+ display models out in their stores. I went to ATT and saw a 6+ on display but the lady said they didn't have any to sell, and probably wouldn't until December.

Trust me, I already looked and called all over for this phone. Apple simply can't make enough of them, fast enough.

Actually, Google said they would support products for 18 months (minimum), and 'could' continue for a longer time period depending on external factors, like hardware limitations.
The original Nexus 7 is now over 24 months old. Be grateful it is getting 5.0.

Actually, I don't think the manufacturing is the only problem. I talked to an Apple rep friend of mine and he said both UPS and FedEx can't keep up. They would need to increase their capacities (and allocate it all to Apple) to handle the orders Apple is trying to send through them.

Apple had a small cargo airport built next to their big manufacturing facility to get them out as fast as possible.

I don't think people really, truly understand the sheer volume Apple makes and moves in a relatively short amount of time. Sure Samsung sells more devices each year, but we're talking dozens of products released over the entire course of the year.

Didn't know they had a small airport built. That is pretty crazy when I think about it. An airport built specifically to assist FedEx and ups in delivering phones! And they still can't keep up with the demand. Sheer lunacy.

On the plus side, I'll be very curious to see how much Apple smashes its previous quarterly record sales figures by? I would not be surprised if Apple sell close to 70 million this holiday quarter.

That was the number of 6/6+'s they wanted built by the end of the year.....

Add in the 5C/5S's that are still being sold and....wow.

Samsung holds the record at 82 million in a quarter. Apple's record is 56 million I believe (last holiday quarter). It should be interesting to see.

Hec no. Nexus dont sell a million and neither will the Nokia 830

Nexus 5 sold out of stock within days of going on sale when it came out and was also out of stock a couple times throughout the last year (in particular when the red model came out). While Google doesn't release sales figures, it is a safe bet that they sold well over 1 million handsets.
Hell, the Nexus 6 sold out within hours. Not saying they had a lot of stock to begin with, but the Nexus line has become pretty popular.

It doesnt mean anything that they sold out quickly. You could only get it from the Playstore or TMobile and you couldnt get it from TMobile right away. I think the N4 only sold about 300,000. Id be surprised if the N5 sold a million. Even if it did, its a small % from Samsung and iPhone numbers an thats my point.
I agree they are getting more popular but they still dont advertise them either.

Nexus 7

Well, after using the most recent dev build of Android L for some days on my Nexus 7 (2nd generation) the initial wow factor has worn off to some degree.

For some reason it feels as if the OS has become more and more sluggish over time. For example, if I use the YouTube app for some time and return to the Google Launcher there will be noticeable lag. I can see the launcher (Google Launcher) screen refreshing - which takes around 1-2 seconds. Also switching between apps has become slower.

Maybe it's because it is an developer build. I don't know.

Another thing I noticed is that after using my Nexus 7 a few days exclusively I got bored with the Material design a little bit. I feel that Material Design looks great in combination with great imagery because the design itself doesn't get in the way. But many apps out there don't feature professional imagery. As a result many apps look pretty much the same. And as I said it feels boring after a while. But maybe that's just me.

Regarding lag and iOS7/8. Many people complain how laggy iOS7/8 is on their device. Well, yeah, Apple, unfortunately, doesn't give much about older devices. Like, Yosemite on non-Retina screens. On new devices, however, such as the iPhone 5s+ or the iPad Air iOS8 is super smooth. And personally I had no issues with iOS8 on my iPhone 5. But maybe it was just lucky.

iOS 8.1 runs ok on my 5C but I'm keeping my iPad mini on 7 for now. I tried 8 but made it so laggy I downgraded while Apple were still signing 7.1.2.

Until Android can become a global rollout, it will be a sad wait for most Android users.

Even Google themselves can't release Android L on all their supported platforms on a single day. And so many Android people are stuck in the past.

It took many months for Kit Kat to surpass Jelly Bean in adoption.

And the OEMs will suffocate Android L with their own bloatware.

Android is totally like Linux - massive fragmentation and the inability to deliver a singular user experience with a truly unified look and feel. Android L does look to finally have a comprehensible UI... it only took them 5 versions to get to a good non-geeky UI for everyone to use.

Be together, not the same :)
