I wish Samsung would release a tablet with the iPad form factor and 120Hz. A base model. That would be ideal for me. Something around the iPad 10 price, but with Android, 120Hz and same form factor.

S9 weights almost 500 grams. Too heavy to use comfortably. It doesn't have the iPad 4:3 form factor.Tab S9 11" or Tab S8 the latter no IP68 rating
Tab A9+? It's 90Hz and doesn't support the S-Pen but it seems very sensibly spec-ed.I wish Samsung would release a tablet with the iPad form factor and 120Hz. A base model. That would be ideal for me. Something around the iPad 10 price, but with Android, 120Hz and same form factor.
Unfortunately Samsung doesn't make iPad 10 price 120hz, the cheapest is the S9 fe which comes with 90hz and is $500S9 weights almost 500 grams. Too heavy to use comfortably. It doesn't have the iPad 4:3 form factor.
I tried it at the store and it's the best alternative to iPad, but was too heavy for me.
Lenovo has the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 for about $220 usd, it has OLED and 120hz screen, but is plastic.Unfortunately Samsung doesn't make iPad 10 price 120hz, the cheapest is the S9 fe which comes with 90hz and is $500
I tried that one at the store and God, the screen was awful. Not bright and colors muted.Tab A9+? It's 90Hz and doesn't support the S-Pen but it seems very sensibly spec-ed.
I would buy the S9 FE (great price right now at 360€ with free book cover included), but it's even heavier than S9 at 523 grams or so. These tablets are just too heavy for their size. They should be around 440 grams, just like the new Pro M4.Unfortunately Samsung doesn't make iPad 10 price 120hz, the cheapest is the S9 fe which comes with 90hz and is $500
That's a really positive review for an Amazon tablet.I really enjoy Amazon Fire HD 10 Plus 2021. At about USD 110, it's a great value: nice screen not straining the eyes, fast, can run games at low/medium graphics, even COD (iPad 6th gen already stutters on it), a headphone jack, good quality speakers and more.
With the Fire Toolbox, it becomes a proper Android tablet, and way better quality than any Chinese brand I've tried so far (Lenovo, Xiaomi, and even Samsung), especially in terms of screen quality/natural colors.
I don't think I'll ever return to iPadOS with its pricing and closed system (but keeping my current iPad while it lasts).

Get the Max 11, it's an even better value. I got a great deal from Amazon and traded a Fire 10 for the Max 11. The Fire Max is incredibly snappy, the screen is nice and the aluminum shell makes it look premium. That's a really positive review for an Amazon tablet.
I will need to research Fire Toolbox.
I know how to side-load The Google Play Store.
In my experience, Fire OS stays the same but does get updates.
Amazon says 4 years after the product is no longer for sale on Amazon.
I would probably spring for the Max 11.
I actually like the look of the OS.
I've read where Amazon is creating their own OS versus an Android modification.
Thanks for the review.
It's slow cause it is a budget device. Complaining about it being slow is like complaining about the colour you picked. The funny thing is my 2019 iPad works the best.
My 2019 Galaxy Tab A is painfully slow.
My iPad gets OS 18, so I’m not in a hurry to get something else.
Doing research doesn’t cost me anything.
Not true! Purchased new! It has been on Android 11 for over a year. It's slow cause it is a budget device. Complaining about it being slow is like complaining about the colour you picked.
You get what you pay for. I'm perfectly happy with my Lenovo Tab M11 for what it cost. But it's no iPad.
I just picked up a Lenovo Tab M11 to replace an old third gen iPad Air. 128GB storage and 4GB RAM. Does 90% of what I need a tablet for and came with a case and pen (which I'll never use) for just £200. Android's no iOS, but I haven't found it objectionable. You can forgive a lot at that price.
What makes up the 10% that it doesn't do?
iCloud stuff, understandably. And it doesn't play nice with my hearing aid, which Apple has always been brilliant at supporting.
I suppose this could be good for Android phones in the future.Yes, many Android devices still need a bluetooth link adapter—that's why this update is such a boon, it allows for direct streaming to hearing aids (ASHA is the Android equivalent of Apple's support for direct connection to iOS devices).
The value of direct hearing aid support is immense—a tablet doesn't make phone calls, but it plays music, streams video etc.
