OP. Wow, that was a long post.

As for the subject matter at hand. Goodbye, and I hope that you enjoy the land of iOS for the rest of your days.

I won't get into a peeing contest about which device has the better features or hardware. There is room enough in the market for both platforms. The GS3 was a huge hit, the GS4 has already been out for months and the GS5 is due out in January.

Exactly why I won't use android as my first choice. I have the S4 but I trust my iPhone more. It's also more reliable and most app perform better and are better designed for it ex spotify, navigon which I use daily.
I do miss swype key most of anything though.

hi, you mentioned running GS3 on ics 4. there is a Jelly bean update for att version of GS3. I believe it will receive android 4.3 soon. I"d first update the phone to latest os available. you may have to use Kies for such a large update.

also Kies is not that bad. is itunes any better? the difference is you don't have to use Kies if you don't want to (except upgrading phone to latest version, again hardcore geeks can even bypass Kies by using a recovery and the update zip file. thats too advanced method) but you must use itunes to manage idevice.

a lot of the things you mentioned are simply software issues. you could take two minutes and find a replacement app from play store.

visual voicemail is there and since you have att branded phone, this app is bundled actually. not sure why you chose to dial 1 instead of using this app.

Year old thread. All I can say is I gave android another shot with the GS4 and cracked after 3 months and went back to iOS with a 5S...

It happens.
