Please post a pic of the email you got-black out any of your personal info if you'd like. It was made abundantly clear at WWDC 2015 that the Public betas would be available in mid July so not that I think your lying I'm just very surprised by that.

Ok will do. I'll take a screen shot on my iPhone.

Apple Support Chat is experiencing a longer than usual hold time. I wonder how many people are doing the same thing I'm doing and contacting them about it.

Why on Earth are people downgrading for Apple Music? Is it really worth the amount of disruption it causes?

A new beta could be released at any moment realistically, considering that the Mac + PC versions haven't been released clearly Apple aren't done with software releases. And yes, I know about the beta schedules but lets be honest; Apple doesn't exactly fail to surprise us from time to time.

We've gone this long without Apple Music...
I downgraded because I wanted my desired username.

According to Apple Support...

Sorry I meant Radio.
Though stuff I add to playlists on my iPad on Apple Music download automatically to the iPhone.
Radio has worked for me on iOS9 b2. I didnt have to downgrade and upgrade. Its Apple Music that doesnt work and we will have to wait till the next release. I also have the WatchOS2 so have to be patient and wait.

Apple does allow 3erd party apps to access the music library. There are plenty of alternative music player apps out there. I'm sure that makers of such apps would want to be able to test with the new Apple music integration and system redesign.
Then you can use 8.4 for those purposes.

I'm not going to play the whole "non-developer witch hunt" card when it comes to betas, but I will say this- when using iOS betas, you aren't guaranteed any kind of support from Apple in regards to anything. When you use them on personal devices (even when it's necessary), you take risks that people using "final" versions don't have to take. This is one of them. I especially feel sorry for people using WatchOS 2... but that's the price of using betas, I suppose.

That said, yesterday I decided to go back to 8.3 and set up my phone as new- for the first time in a while. A clean install of 8.3 (now 8.4) was sooooo much faster and smoother than iOS 9 beta 2 on my iPhone 6. I actually think my phone feels faster now than it was right out of the box back in September. I highly recommend anyone who is considering downgrading to go ahead and do it- it's well worth it, especially if you're starting fresh.

My apps do not have anything to so with Apple Music. But I feel we feel like Apple forgot to give back to the community. They should care about us, because they are not much without us.

They've been building this hype for weeks. And few days back we even got a little glimpse of hope with Eddy Cues vague tweets.. I guess that's why he didn't mention any dates.

There's a reason we are developpers, it's because we are forward thinkers and innovators. And Innovators don't like to feel behind, it just goes with our character.
I'm pretty sure it's nothing personal and just to do with beta 3 not being finished in time for the launch

no one seem to have gotten the update yet. I think this thread is meant for the future.

There was no reason to really think that it was coming at the launch anyway... Betas have a pretty dependable timeframe of release (~Every two weeks), so to think that we were going to get B3 a week after B2 came out was probably unfounded anyway.

We'll get a new beta this week, most likely.

Exactly. It's unrealistic to think they would release a new beta just to enable Apple Music. It's better they stick to the current release schedule.
