2 questions.

Does it have the 1 or 2 free video streams per day, and will this be the same app as the iPad app? I know the iPad app is somewhat different.

Um.

Does it have the 1 or 2 free video streams per day,

I'm waiting to buy to make sure the 1-2 game stream is still like last year

I have the full subscription to mlb.tv so I couldn't tell you if free streams are working or not but I FINALLY got to watch a couple of live games via MLB At Bat and it looks as good as it did last year. NOW I'm excited! :)

In case anyone was still wondering, a new item appeared in the score listing today...."ATBat.tv Free Game of the Day". So that answers that...they will be doing the free game thing again this year. Unfortunately today it's the Phils and Pitt in Clearwater where it's currently storming so it'll probably be way delayed. Last week I spent an hour standing in the concourse and another hour plus in a sports bar waiting for a storm to blow through and a Phils & Os game to start.

So they're going to give a free game of the day to the subscibers of the Lite app, but they won't give them the pitch by pitch, box score, etc?!? That really doesn't make much sense. The Lite version is just way too "lite" for me, especially when other apps offer these features for free.

No not for the lite app, the 14.99 version. You lite folks are stuck because you can't fork over the huge sum of $15.

EDIT_ Oh you're a Mets fan, now I see.....

Ha! Why do you want to kick a Mets fan when he's down? I don't need the $15 app b/c I have the DirecTV package and the slingbox app so I can watch every game without the At Bat app. I would like for the lite app to show a little more in case I just want to check some scores. I must have misunderstood the point of the $15 At Bat app. I thought for the price of $15they show every game live....why would they include a free game of the day feature if they already are showing every game?

I dunno, I didn't write it. Besides, I'm pretty pissed at the Mets right now myself. Second year I've tried to see the Mets at Space Coast Stadium, second year it's been rained out and I've been stuck with the tickets. 45 minutes later and it's all sun and blue skies and the Cards are playing down the road in Jupiter. Must be the Mets. ;-)

Oh...the $15 gets you the AUDIO of every live game. For the video of every live game you need to also subscribe to MLB.tv which may or may not make sense. Personally, I root for the Nats but I like all 30 teams so I subscribe and it's not at all expensive compared to going to just a handful of live games. For the Nats, Os and Phillies I use Slingplayer to a Slingbox at home.

God luck this year. The NL East looks really tough. Phils pitching looks back on track except for Lidge, Braves got Heyward and Wagner and Chipper seems to think he shouldn't have retired two years ago and the Nats got Zimmerman & Strasburg. Gonna be tough for a team that seems to defeat itself every September. ;-)

I have a very stupid question. How can you find the free game on mlb at bat 2010? I seen it the other day but can't figure out how I managed it. I know it says to tap a game then hit video. So it does not tell you anywhere which game it is? You just have to tap everyone until you finally hit the jackpot?
And no I don't have the lite version.

I got it thanks anyway. Watching Rays vs. Red Sox right now. Go Rays!!

It is just too bad that it cuts off every now and then. :(

problems viewing free game?

I had the free game of the day playing for about 5 minutes and now it's not loading up. It's the Jays/Phils game. Anyone else have this problem?

Do you really need to pay another $15 for the MLB At Bat for the iPad? That seems pretty silly if you already bought the iphone version.

Looks like it. They call it an addition to the family of At Bat applications. Looks like it's a separate purchase. Weak. Sauce.

MLB at Bat really pisses me off. They raise the price of the app $5 this year and I've yet to be able to find the "free game of the day". They want us to drop another $15 for the iPad app, and then on top of it a $20/month subscription to MLB.tv to get full use out of the already expensive app. Sure the audio works, but even that has been blacked out for most of the Cubs games (only the opposing team's audio feed is provided...with exception of a handful of games so far this spring).

Is there a free game video feed today?

You must not look hard, I've seen a free game of the day most days I used the app.

Also you dont HAVE TO BUY the 20/month plan. In fact, if you buy it in lump it's only 12/month. Furhermore that allows you to watch the games on your laptop and if you have a Mac like me, then hook the laptop up to the TV, so it's actually cheaper than the direct tv package.

The iPad app is a completely differently written app, with different features.

God some of you are so whiny, and expect everything cheap or free....it's kind of sad, you all act like this apps costs $1000, its $15 people. Jeeeeez

$15 isn't all that much, but it is in the app store economy. It is one of the highest priced apps in the store. Yes it has different features, but the MAJORITY of the features are exactly the same as the iPhone app. The MLB.tv subscription is also a rip-off if you're a Cubs fan. Over half of the Cubs games are broadcast nation-wide on WGN, so the feed is often "blacked out".

What is/was today's free game? I sure don't see it. Where did you find them? Do you go under "videos" and then select "mlb.tv" tab? I've done that and there are no video feeds today that I'm seeing.

I just bought MLB at Bat 2k10 for the iPad & I have some questions for you guys. If I want to watch live streamed games on the iPad, I have to order MLB.TV right? MLB.TV lets me watch streamed games on my iPad & Mac right?

thanks

I haven't seen it for a couple days so I guess they're working on it or it's done until regular season or something. Nor do I know if "today's" means "every day". You'll have to ask MLB, I suspect.

If you want to watch any game covered by cameras, yes, you need to subscribe to mlb.tv. This is my second year with the At Bat / MLB.tv combination and I love it. Totally worth it. If you don't get MLB.tv you can watch what they make available for free, if anything, but you can still listen to every game with audio coverage.

MLB released an update today that makes some really nice improvements all over the place.

Thanks for the info. I have decided to go all the way & get MLB.TV Premium with MLB at Bat 2k10. I got my roommate (cousin) to go halves with me. Can't turn that down.

The new video overlays on the iPhone versions are slick. I already subscribe to MLB.TV, but haven't seen the option of purchasing individual games for 99 cents. Did they remove that feature?
