hey candy land. i don't know what happened but today when u franchised my starbucks i only got 50 bucks instead of 2000 bucks. i'm sad :(

does anyone know why that happens?

thank you candy land btw, i always appreciate your help regardless the cost :) i like u :)

could u franchise from me people, i still couldn't get my mixer bar. and its price is going up every day :)

i heard about someone named norwalkian? could u franchise from me too? :)

Hey i just franchised your nintendo world, im just wondering if it stacks if i franchise it a bunch of times?

My understanding is that if the system recognizes a particular business that you've already own, then you cannot franchise again.

Unless, if you remove the current business you own, then you can franchise it again. This will not stack with what % you had before, but it will increase because you'll have to start leveling it up all over again. However, this does increase the popularity of that business (very minimal but it will increase).

Well im not really worried about the bonus that id receive since i have more coins than i know what to do with. I was wondering if the money that he receives when i franchise it more than once would stack, if you know what i mean. Sorry, i shouldve been more clear the first time haha

hey i saw it thanks :)

if u franchise it once, u have to delete it to franchise it again and when u delete it i lose my percentage and when u franchise again, i gain that percantage again so nothing changes for me. i don't know if that's what u asked but that's all i can answer :)

i got coins from it again, not bucks. booyah is on something..

i'm sending u population :)

and btw i'm a "she" :)

Well, 2 updates or 2 months ago, you could modify your game by simply opening a file in notepad and changing the numbers of money and bucks to whatever you want. Since then, it's already fixed and whoever had done it is left with his money.

Mine 2 Ref Your Post #880

I've been stuck at level 50 for 2 months now, cannot accumulate stars. At least now they have added new land plots to purchase, but for some time there was no point in checking in. Nothing left to buy, couldn't level up.
So it keeps telling new levels are coming soon. two months is not soon in my book. I am surprised that a clever game like this isn't better administered.
---> In the earlier part of this forum, you'll find posts from people who are also stuck at level 50 since at least December. And now there are other players who just reached 50 or are nearing it very, very soon. I agree, two months is NOT soon. Booyah really needs to open new levels--today would be good!

another gripe I have. now there are all these incentives to build items (like tennis court) that I already have, but the incentive is not retroactive.
---> My latest gripe is the Superbowl Stadium that cost 65 Bucks. Now it is on sale for 45 Bucks. Bucks are DIFFICULT to collect, so the reduced price is truly annoying and penalizes those who paid full price only a week ago.

2 questions: anyone know how to store the Christmas tree? or anything for that matter? most games have some sort of warehouse to put your unused itms in. I ended up bulldozing my circus just to make more space.
---> Exactly my wishlist--to be able to store some of my stuff. At the moment, there is no way to store anything.
The decorations and Wonders are so well done that I don't want to sell them off since many are no longer available. And now with Valentine's Day items coming, that will be more that can't be bought due to lack of space (unless something is sold off, which I don't want to do.)
Anyone who is in agreement, should send messages to Booyah to make a warehouse for us.
To be fair, if the items are warehoused (stored), the population count should be subtracted from the total. But if the item is brought out again, then the population count should be re-added.
Maybe the players not only have to buy the warehouse but also pay taxes (in coins) too. Like real life.;)

secondly, where is this leader board people here have spoken of? someone point me the way, please.
---> The Leader Board that everyone is talking about can be found in the Game Center. Check out your Apps for it.

Keeping the Real Business Type vs. Remodeling All into Offices

I started my town by keeping the business type assigned to each business just as they are when purchased. After reading how people bought many Stock Exchanges and then remodeled all their businesses into offices to rake in thousands--millions--of coins, I finally caved and did the same.
Now that I have 50MM, I've begun remodeling them into their "correct" business type. The town looks so much better, but the coin revenue dropped significantly. I'm feeling greedy and want to change everything back to offices.
What to do??? lol!

oops hahah, my bad!

I wish i had more bucks so i could franchise better businesses, but im rather confused as to how to get a ton of bucks like some people have here

i take back what i said before, the percentage i get from u increased from 5% to 10%. i was getting 6281 coins and now it 6368

i hope it helps satisfy your curiosity :)

haha i hear u :)

i caved in and did the same myself and after buying all the lands i have 9million coins now. i don't think it's enough, i'm planning to make some more and then return the businesses to their origins :) i'm sure my town will look a lot better that way. i'm close to level 50 and when i get there i'll stop being greedy. when an update comes then maybe i'll be greedy again :)

Get those coins

I messed over 1 billion, 700 million in coins using stock exchanges. Get your coins because I am sure if there is more land to buy it will be expensive.

Can someone please tell me the benefit of my spending thousands of bucks to franchise a popular town? What will I get out of it?

Finally, if they are capping franchises at 50 bucks but it cost thousands to us it does that mean the other bucks just vanish. Meaning, if I buy a franchise from someone for two thousand bucks, they only get 50 where did the rest go?

Ok I found out I'm from New York, for whoever was asking.

I just looked again.. and all your stores are only from Cali.. So they still say bucks..
You have to own one of the New York stores.. and if I don't already own it it will let me franchise from another "New Yorker" for coins.. which will give you coins, but not let you keep the percentage cause I would have to delete it :) clear as mud, right.. Lol! :)

Hey all, I've been playing for a week or two now. Have 10 pretty decent businesses, a population of ~24000 and am well on my way to more. I gift daily, as well.

Check out my town - BooyahID: 33942970

Hello there Snoopy1967!

I messed over 1 billion, 700 million in coins using stock exchanges. Get your coins because I am sure if there is more land to buy it will be expensive.
---> Thanks for your recommendation. As much as I like the cute images, they're going back to being offices, for now. lol!

Can someone please tell me the benefit of my spending thousands of bucks to franchise a popular town? What will I get out of it?
---> I can't directly answer your question, but I think my observation might be another factor to consider and decide what to do. I've been tracking my businesses and their revenue. I also continually do jobs to level them higher and higher.
This is my observation: I franchised a high popularity town. But when compared to a town I bought outright that has lower popularity, the high pop town that I franchised gives me less revenue. It would take a lot of tracking and math calculations to check, but I'm getting the feeling it isn't necessarily the best to always franchise. Franchising does mean jobs are free, but at 30, 70, and 150 coin cost per job, it isn't that much. I'm finding some of my lower pop towns, as they level up are at least matching the franchised town with high pop. And as they can still go higher in levels, I think they will exceed the franchised town.
eta: Unless the town you're looking at is already at level 10 and has >huge< popularity, then it probably won't be possible to match it by buying a different business and leveling that one up.
This is complicated!

Finally, if they are capping franchises at 50 bucks but it cost thousands to us it does that mean the other bucks just vanish. Meaning, if I buy a franchise from someone for two thousand bucks, they only get 50 where did the rest go?
---> My best guess--Since the franchisee got paid his/her fee, then whatever remains just goes no where. :(

Hey, no worries GraceGirl.

I'm in dire shortage of bucks, could anybody please tell me how to get a few the fastest way possible?

..well.. I'm kinda not sure what to do now.. I mostly have things where I want them and I'm not doin the leader board thing sooo.. what's left? I don't want to get rid of my lower pop businesses cause I like them and actually run one of them..lol (not the Goodwill..lol..I just liked that to use w/the big shoe skin) :) :) :) Come by and see my page.. and leave me something to open if you happen to have extras cause I'm bored  I wish we could buy gifts to say "howdy" to people with some of these millions of coins.. ;) ..or even give coins to people.. I guess if anyone needs coins I could try to franchise something from them in coins.. It only gives you 10% of what I pay though so I'm not sure how well it would work... Just let me know if you need me to try.. Maybe you could gift one of my level 10's with a green buck :D Have a great Saturday Guys!

Ok guys.. I'm sorry.. One person just tried ..thank you Rakk City but they are all only available to purchase for green bucks.. I guess for me to buy with coins it would have to be anyone with New York stores or in south Florida ;) ;) ;)

My town is based in ny and need lots of coins for land. If want to to stop on by.. :)

The fastest way to get Bucks is to ask people to visit your town and franchise your business(es). Depending on your and the visitor's locations, and town's level, you could receive either coins or bucks. It's complicated--this forum contains lots of discussions on this topic.

If you are below Level 50, you should still be getting Bucks each time you level up (blue stars=exp, upper left hand corner of the screen). Are you getting those?

Yes, lol don't worry I'm not so new, but yet my town is a mess, I need some money to start puttig things in the correct order.

Licat

Licat, thanks for the helpful info. Wat is our town name and id?

Maybe ou can answer another question. Rosecreek just franchised a businesses mine and I received coins. I went to is,town and for me to franchise from him costs me bucks. Wold ou know, what determines whether a franchise is coins vs bucks. I am hoarding my bucks because I fear things are going to get expensive.

Thanks

cankiss ref your post #910

Hello! cankiss: When I read people have a billion (Billion!) coins, I became greedy. All my businesses are back to pseudo-offices. Take a peek at my post #848, in it, I figured the next rows of land (8X8) will cost ~50MM coins, but it could be more.
But I'm not complaining. Earlier, 7X7 land started at 50 BUCKS, but was changed so land can be purchased with coins. That was a very good thing to happen. Hopefully, the coin price for new land isn't ridiculously high. But who knows? Only Booyah knows!
Greed--that's what this game is about! LOL!

Thank you all!

Thank you everyone here who franchaised my businesses. Accumulated 5000 bucks then used half to buy some new stuff and sold one of my poor business with only 400 population and replaced it with a little better one. If anyone's still generous and have extra bucks to spare, please franchaise from my town! Info in my signature below. I'd gift back population if u franchaise. I do only have 5 gifts a day so if u franchasie from my town and didn't see my gift to you, please let me know. I either run out of gift or forgot to remember your town name somehow...

Thanks a lot guys! I now wish I've come to this forum earlier instead of now I'm already at level 49...I wish to rearrange my town but ran out of space and don't have enough coins yet to buy all the land..

I do notice that very rarely, but sometimes I get 1 buck for running errand...

Have a good weekend!

Snoopy1967 Ref your post #919

Snoopy1967: Hello again. Good question! Anyone knows for sure, chime in!

As far as I can guess it depends on the popularity, the level of the business, the location of the town, and the location of the visitor. I think the secondary location might play a role too. It's likely some kind of detailed calculation/parameters that Booyah invented for the game.

I've tried to franchise some good (not even the best) businesses, locally and across the US and it seems I have to pay bucks. I just don't know why.

btw, When I say 'secondary location', I'm referring to how people turned off their location and selected another location. But that is whole other crazy, complicated topic. Because also remember that turning off/on your location and changing it to different ones caused problems with the town/game being lost, so I think it's safe to say to change it with caution. I suspect Booyah will eventually take that away anyway.

Me too! I'm hoarding my Bucks until the next update. And who knows what will be in it. I hope it will be very soon. 29434232 Monstropolis

I'm not so sure about that. I went to franchise a restaurant today and the first time it said 57k coins, when I got back it was 100-120 bucks, then when I came back agian later it was 57k coins again. I've been home most of the time.

i checked your post and u could be right. it seems it'll cost us a lot so being greedy doesn't seem like a bad idea at all at this point :)

i'm usually playing a three min game so i'll be working on making a couple million coins right now :)
