Anybody Playing My Town 2?

MaxT: Anything about My Town 2 is a guess. As gamers, all we can do is try to find some consistency in it. lol!

cankiss: I used 3 min a LOT for the new businesses. But now that most now require hundreds or thousands of jobs to level up, I use 30 minute and 2 hour increments. This game takes up so much time!

i didn't get it. is there a 30 min option and how does the increments work? do i sound stupid asking this? haha :)

cankiss: No worries. :)
Assuming you see what I see...after you collect your revenue, you get the blue sleepy face, right? You click that and a menu pops up.
In the menu I get, I see 4 selections (or time increments): 3 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours, and 10 hours.
Each one tells you the cost to do the job and how much revenue in coins you get after each job finishes.

3 minutes, cost 0 coins, revenue X coins
30 minutes, cost 30 coins, revenue X coins
2 hours, cost 70 coins, revenue X coins
10 hours, cost 150 coins,s revenue X coins

where 'X' is specific to the business.

Ok, I am gravel here, would someone check out my enfranchised business and help me franchise them? Come on New Yorkers, you got a world renown famous jewelers for over 100 years and I wanted to share that land mark with everyone (and the making of a movie, some there). Come on illinoins.... We've got a world famous art glass maker here in I'll. I made up his business in my town since he WAS raised where I live. I know him personally and helped his mother. Can ya help me out........just even alittle nibble.
At least you read this post and that means something to me. Thanks to mayors today for gifts........I didn't have my p/p to write.

oh i see the problem now. i don't have those options. mine are 3min, 15min, 1 hour and 4 hours.

i read about the 10 hour option on this forum but i thought it was an old option from 2 months back. i'm playing this game for 2 weeks and i assumed the game updated those options to how i see them now :)

since i know those options actually do exist, i'm wondering why do i have different options..?

I have this question too. Hubby and I download the game almost the same time on our individual iPhone 4s, he got the 10 hour max option, but mine is 4hour max...maybe boyaah randomly assign the option? I got so confused when he told me he needs to wait 10 hours...

Earlier there was some talk/confusion about the different times. I thought the time choices had been fixed...guess not.

Someone else suggested that the different time options was due to different versions being run by various locations (e.g., Canada, the UK) . And I've updated my game every time one comes out. I wonder how Booyah is managing the different versions?

Just for curiosity's sake, I'm in California. Where are you both?

my local friends have the same options i have. i'd really like a 10hours option. it would come handy when i go to sleep :)

No not really but I just clicked instant upgrade and spent 60 bucks for an upgrade I didn't want. I am so angry!

Added to my wishlist:
Add a 'cancel' button to instant upgrade.

here ashley says that her friend got a different option so it's not about being in a different country.. i guess it's random like ashley said. or it's a glitch haha :)

Popularity does not increase anymore?

Hi,

I noticed a strange Problem, maybe bug, in MyTown2 running on my iPhone4.

Since yesterday, the Amount of popularity does not increase, when I "visit" one of my business. You know, the process of tapping on it and choose the amount of time to the next payment.

Till yesterday the amount of popularity (find in the "stats-rollout) increases by 2 points. Now there is no change.

Only when I hit the visit-button (on the left lower side), the amount of popularity decreases by a few hundred points.

Yesterday, my popularity was approximately 197,000 and my population approximately 400,000.

Till now, my population does not increase anymore, whatever I try (except buying or frenchising new businesses).

Anybody out there with similar problems?

i'm not sure if we have the same problem but here's what i have;

my business's popularity is going down instead of up. for example, i have a local starbucks with little popularity of 2900. this is the number from yesterday. today it shows 2779. i don't know what's going on.

I have 1 buck.
How does Booyah expect us to upgrade o business levels from 3 on up with 1 buck????? I m just sitting , simmering and singing.........

Fluctuating Popularity or Population Counts?

I've too have observed popularity fluctuating up and down throughout the day. However, the overall trend has been upward.

Someone explained it--popularity goes up and down depending on frequency of people franchising it, how many and how often check-ins are done, how often it is leveled up by different owners and franchisers.
So there are of variables affecting a business' popularity.

alejancla: do you mean
popularity (how many people likes/owns a business?)
or
population (how many people?)

If your population is not increasing when you buy housing, decoration, etc. that is suppose to give you population, then there is indeed something wrong and you will need to contact Booyah to ask them. Be sure to give your identification number when you do.
Just remember, after buying something, the population is not added to your total until after the item is finished building.
 
Try these "Free Bucks" stuff and the sharing. I got 35 free bucks for about 15 minutes.

I thought I was the only idiot that does that if I had all the bucks I threw away by accident I would probably have begins cafe just shows booyah is a biz that is out to make a profit Go capitalism. Buyer beware.

Yep! I've done the free Bucks too! "FREE" my favorite word! Especially within MT2! LOL!

OMG. GraceGirl! Thank you soooo much for the franchises. I'll try to stop by and gift you a buck every day :). I'm in south FL (but I wander to NY if I want franchise for coins).

Also, someone gifted me a bunch of population. It flashed so fast, that I couldn't get the name. Thank you, too. I wish the game would keep record of all of the gifters.

Still having trouble getting the green bucks, though. I guess if you franchise with bucks, you earn bucks????? Unfortunately, I only have about 30. I had 88 yesterday, with no more level ups. So I bought my mansion. hahaha. Then, like a miracle, all of the little aimless cititizens of my town started coughing up bucks for directions!!! Yahhoooo! (I had thought that ended). Then I did some of the free stuff to get to 30. So now what do I do?? If anyone needs gifts, that's about all I can offer, except coin franchises, if they're not too steep, and you're in the area. I have a few level 10's, if you want to gift me bucks too :D
