Anybody Playing My Town 2?

This might take some of the fun away, but it also adds a new perspective to the game. Here is an Instruction in German on how to get as many bucks as you want. Even though it is German, I think it is understandable:

So, hier kommt die Anleitung, wie ihr so viele Scheine wie ihr wollt bekommen könnt:
1. Iphone oder Ipad jailbreaken
2. Cydia installieren
3. In Cydia nach iFile suchen und installieren
4. MyTown2 richtig beenden, also über Doppelklick des Homebuttons auch den Hintergrund Task beenden
5. iFile starten
6. In das Verzeichnis var/mobile/Applications/....../Document/LLocalFiles wechseln. "....." hier muss das richtige MyTown2 Verzeichnis gesucht werden, einfach so lange rumprobieren, bis ihr etwas mit MyTown2 findet...
7. Die Datei savegame.json im Texteditor öffnen
8. Nach "hrdcash" suchen und dann die Zahl rechts daneben anpassen, je nachdem wieviele Scheine man haben will... 10 Mio reichen für wirklich alles aus, ich habe alles schon gekauft und gerefranchised und noch nicht mal 2 Mio verbraucht
9. Speichern und beenden von iFile
10. Sich über die vielen Scheinchen freuen und eine schöne Stadt bauen
11. Alle Gebäude mit der höchsten Beliebtheit franchisen, ihr findet sie alle in "bobtown" unter der BooyahID 32401790 :)

Some players tried it yesterday with the most recent version of MyTown2 and it worked. It even works with the new game Pet Town, so I guess the Booyah Team will not change this in the newr future.

I was really disappointed from the poor Service of the Booyah team, when I ran into the 2 Billion Coins bug, where it turns into a negative number, and while I was looking for a solution for that I ran into this cheat. Now everybody can focus on building beautiful towns instead of being greedy for bucks :)
"Schein" is German for "buck" :)

Building the town

So, I'm slipping out from coin accumulation mode and into town building mode. I tried making a bowling lane using a flower beds, roads, and 10 stock exchanges as pins. It didn't work out so well.... But as I was making the lane, the additional stock exchanges got me to 100 million coins in a hurry. So, I'm done with the accumulation stage.

Now, I'm about to enter the building mode. For the designers out there, it would be great to hear about how you use the available items for alternative purposes. For example, trees as neon bulbs for a billboard. That kind of stuff.

guys he franchised 6 of my businesses and i got 259 bucks from them. booyah might be trying to prevent bucks exchange but candy land is doing all he can to make us happy yayy!
 
The editing doesn't work on mine, I've tried it on PC, cause iFile requires payment for the search function.

Hey All,
This is like the UN, of My Town 2. :p

Max T. I visited your town, and gifted you population. That's the best I can do right now, because I don't have many bucks, and your businesses aren't level 10s. If you work them a little more, I can gift you a buck :) Hope you return the favor. I prefer a buck for a level 10 business, but population will help too :)

I wasted my last population upgrade by franchising a puny business for bucks, thinking I would earn bucks by checking in - not the case.

So my next goal is to save everything, and franchise a huge business.... It might take me a month, but who knows, some of you are miracle workers. If someone franchises from me, for bucks, and it speeds up the process, I will franchise back from them, if they have the big ones. Or rest assured, someone on here will get a nice franchise from me :)

Grace Girl, I gifted you a buck, too. I know it's lame, but a buck is a buck. lol. You're still on my list of visitors for franchising from me (even if in coins ;-)).

"i caved in and did the same myself and after buying all the lands i have 9million coins now. i don't think it's enough, i'm planning to make some more and then return the businesses to their origins :) i'm sure my town will look a lot better that way. i'm close to level 50 and when i get there i'll stop being greedy. when an update comes then maybe i'll be greedy again :)"


--Wait- Cankiss, are you saying that if I change the exterior look of my businesses into offices that the stock exchange will help them, even if on the check-in they are listed as "restaurant" or "retail" or something?

Hello, thanks for all of the great tips! I am already building stock exchanges. My id is 31146807 and if anyone is still feeling generous and can help me get some bucks by franchising some of my businesses I would greatly appreciate it! Most of my businesses are from the LA area!

I'm with you. I have been shoving everything in any corner trying to conserve space and it's just a wreck. Your town should be something that you can take some pride in and really work on aesthetics instead of coins and bucks.

Can't wait to hear how to get more bucks. Wish I had been on board before the updates. Would've solved any buck or coin issues!! lol!

I trade Second Life items for MT2 bucks!!!!

I thought it would be fun to mix and match virtual worlds....here is my proposition....I trade to everyone having a second life account one chosen item from my shop in sl for one business franchised with bucks...just send me a notecard in SL with your name, the object you want, and write down the business you franchised....and i will send you in SL the item you want ( I sell houses and a bit of furniture) My account name in Second Life is Synonyme Toll, and you can find my shop in my profile there....I am sure I am not the only one loving virtual worlds in here:)

i dont need coins....have to many of them, but bucks are very welcomed....lets interact galactically:)

Thanks for all the great tips and help!!! I have been playing My Town 2 for just over a week and enjoying it very much, slowly making my way to level 50 tho:D:D:D

I've read some post about franchising to earn bucks. I'm wondering how does that work?

Ex) if i franchise a business with bucks, i will earn bucks in return? Also, is there a minimum popularity required in order to earn bucks from the franchised business?

Also, is it required for me to have a level 10 business in order to recieve bucks from friends? (highest level is still level 8 currently):(

I love all the comments and ideas on here. In anticipation of Booyah rolling out updates I built a ton of stock exchanges and turned all my businesses into offices. I now have 1 billion, 746 million in coins. I can't wait for new land to be made available and new things to buy.

I like the idea I saw on here for a storage unit. I have been checking out a lot of towns for ideas, now that I have the coins nder control I want to start work on designing a hot looking town. I am in NY and if anyone is nearby message me and let's franchise from each other. I have a few high popularity stores.

My town is Kingville 33054518

May I suggest that people on here put their town name and ID. I find it easier to look for people that way.

Since Booyah capped franchising at 50 bucks it is so hard to get bucks. I think it would be a good idea to hoard bucks now in anticipation of future updates. The cost for buying bucks is ridiculous. $99 for 1600 bucks. That is not enough to franchise a popular business. I want the mixer bar but I would need over 26,000 bucks that would be over $1000 in real money to buy bucks.

yes that's exactly what i'm saying :) change them into offices and buy as many stock exchanges as u can. i got 14 of them and the amount of coins increased significantly :) try and u'll see

Population

To all pros out there:

How in the world do you grow your population so you can build more businesses. I have farms of the high rise condos, just trying to increase population and earn a bit of money too. What do you do?

It seems we need a "Too Fast Tapping" club!
We've all wasted Bucks by inadvertently tapping upgrade.

We need to *politely* insist on a "Cancel" or "Are You Sure?" button! LOL!

OnlyLIfted Popularity Decreasing?

OnlyLifted: I've been tracking my businesses and popularity increases have slowed down a lot. Comparing yesterday to today, some have dropped while others have gone up only 1 point whereas previously, daily increases ranged 10-30 points, and more for the super popular businesses.

In addition to capping Franchising to 50 Bucks, I'll bet Booyah is reworking its algorithms to reduce the ability to quickly generate lots of coins. I'll also bet that they're going to try and plug any other potential game cheats. That's probably why they're taking so-o-o long to open up new levels above 50. :(
